On his way back to the Slytherin's mansion, Oscar couldn't overlook the jewel shop he saw along the way. The name of the store caught his attention especially because they make the most beautiful and expensive jewelry in West Arcadia.
He recalled how many times Ellen had told him that she wanted to visit this place, to purchase one of the most expensive Neal Diamond rings. For Oscar back then, buying a ring worth over two hundred million dollars was the last thing he'd ever think of. But with his current net worth, Oscar knew that he could buy one hundred of it if he wanted, and would still remain rich. But what was the point? Ellen was no longer with him, except... "Turn the car," He ordered the driver and Leo couldn't help but ask, "Did you forget something?" "No, I mean back to the jewellery shop, I need to get something from there if you don't mind," He replied, and Leo couldn't help but marvel at how respectful Oscar was, despite how much he had acquired overnight. "As soon as Oscar realizes the kind of people he'll have to deal with, he will have no choice but to be ruthless." Leo thought to himself, he knew that the world of wealthy people isn't run by soft-minded individuals, but by ruthless men and women who wouldn't hesitate to seize every opportunity to take down another. "Of course sir," He replied as the car turned around, driving straight to the jewellery shop. On getting there, he walked into the jewellery shop, along with one of the bodyguards, he couldn't help but admire everything he saw inside there, but Oscar was after just one thing, the Neal diamond ring. "Excuse me?" He met one of the shop attendants, a young man in his early twenties, tall and elegant, but full of pride, just like most workers here. "Yes, can I help you?" He asked Oscar with a straight face, he knew most of the influential people in Axel City, but he hadn't seen this man anywhere. Sure he looked wealthy, but most wealthy people don't come in here on their own, they send their assistants, so he believed that Oscar was nothing more than the assistant to a wealthy man. "I'd like to see the Neal diamonds please," He said to him, and the man rolled back his eyes disdainfully. "Would you like to see it, or buy it? We don't let anyone just see it, it's not an artwork on display." The man replied, with a hint of disregard in his tone. Oscar noticed this behaviour and just assumed that he was one of those underpaid workers who chose to transfer their aggression to innocent customers. "I'd like to buy it," He replied. "For who?" The man asked, trying to know which of the many rich men, Oscar worked for. "Excuse me?" Oscar asked. "What business do you have with whom I'm buying it for?" "Tsk tsk," "Why are you acting like you are buying this for yourself? We all know you can't afford it, so tell me, who is your boss?" Oscar's jaws dropped in astonishment, "This is how you treat customers in this place?" He asked, and the young man rolled his eyes. "Hey!" Oscar's bodyguard grabbed the young man by the collar, "He wants to see the Neal diamonds, then show him the Neal diamond." "Don't touch me!" He yelled, and this drew the attention of a few shoppers and other salespeople in the store. "I said if he wants to see the Neal Diamonds... "Wait, what's going on here?" One of the security who came in as soon as he heard the noise asked, he saw Oscar's bodyguard holding onto the salesman and instructed him to let go, but he refused until Oscar said so. "It's one of these assistants, he claims that he wants to buy the Neal diamond for himself, but we all know that he cannot afford it. I think he should be arrested because he must have stolen enough money from his boss." The salesman exclaimed and Oscar could not believe his ears. "How does someone just assume that I would even steal from... how can a person think like this?" He wondered. And what surprised him the most was the fact that a lot of people agreed with him, these included some customers and even other sales people. "Excuse me, sir, who is your boss?" The security asked and tried to approach Oscar but his bodyguards blocked his path. "Step out of the way," the security commanded him, but instead of responding, Oscar's bodyguard tapped the ear pod and uttered, "There is a need for back up in here, I repeat there is a need for back up in here." Back at the receiving end, inside the car that was parked across the store, the other three bodyguards got the message and proceeded to get out of the car immediately. "Is everything okay?" Leo asked. "It appears that Mr Oscar is in trouble." One of the guards replied, before closing the door. "What the hell?"Walking into the store, Loe could not believe the crowd he saw gathered at the front section of the store where a few watches were on display. "Oh dear God," He uttered and rushed towards the scene, worried that something has happened to his boss, Loe was already freaking out so much. As he got to the scene, Leo noticed that Oscar was still standing and he looked fine, but the problem at hand was the fact that numerous people were accusing him of theft. "I'm sorry what's going on?" He asked one of the customers to confirm what was going on so he'd know how to intervene. "Oh, this man came into the store to buy something with money he stole from his boss... "What the hell?" Leo exclaimed, "And Oscar being such a nice man, wouldn't even try to defend himself properly, sigh, at least this has given him a clear image of what this place is like." Leo thought to himself before taking out his phone. "Excuse me!" He finally made his way through the crowd to the centre of attent
Thursday came faster than expected, and this was the day Oscar had been waiting for. Leo ordered the Neal diamond ring which was brought to Oscar that morning, and he was delighted to have it. It will serve as an element of surprise for Ellen. Before going to the office, Oscar had reviewed the companies, and he knew how much influence he had over who and who would not become partners with the Slytherin Empire. "Are you ready, sir?" Leo asked as he came to check up on him and to confirm whether or not he was ready to go. "Oh, I am very ready to go," Oscar answered with a mischievous smirk. He picked up the ring box and took out the Neal diamond ring with a smile before placing it on his finger. "Let's go," He said and left the house immediately with Leo. They used a different car this time, but the same number of escorts as always. The drive took the same time, and when they got to the parking lot, he could not believe the number of cars parked outside. It felt as though the enti
"Are you seeing this?" Ellen said whilst staring at the name of the CEO on the office door. "Mr. Oscar Fred Slytherin," Micheal uttered and chuckled, "If only it were Oscar," He added, before knowing on the door. "Come in," a voice replied from the other side and they both walked in, unaware of who or what they were about to meet. "Good day," the man on the desk greeted them as they walked in and both Micheal and Ellen proceeded to shake hands with him, the relief on Ellen's face when she saw that it wasn't Oscar could not be overemphasised. "You must be Mr. Oscar Slytherin, it's such an honour to meet you, sir," Micheal said while he took his seat, but the man on the desk shook his head and said, "Unfortunately I'm not, my name is Leo Angus, the CEO is not here right now, and he had asked me to carry out this interview on his behalf," Leo replied and Micheal sighed in frustration. "Can we wait for him?" He asked, "I'd love to speak with the CEO by myself if you don't mind.
In a fit of rage, Micheal walked out of the elevator on the ground floor. Those who saw him avoided him because he looked just like he was about to start a war. As he got to the receptionist's desk, he dropped his documents on the table so loudly that it startled the receptionist herself. "Is there something I can help you with, sir?" She asked him, remaining as calm and composer as possible. "Yes, I want to see the managing director immediately," He said to her, his tone so harsh that he got people staring at them from all corners of the vicinity. "Micheal please bring your voice down, yelling won't solve our problems right now," Ellen said to him with a sigh, she was more than embarrassed by his current behaviour, even though she clearly understood the reason behind it. "I'm sorry, sir, but Mr. John Catar is very busy right now. He had a lot of appointments just like you. He has representatives for interviews. I suggest you come back tomorrow, I can book an appointment for yo
Oscar was seated in his office, more than ten minutes after Micheal had gone to see John Cater. He wasn't doing so much in the office until a knock was heard on the door and he asked whoever it was to come in.Mr. John Catar, the managing director walked into his office looking displeased, he held the documents from the Caribbean enterprise in his hand while he said,"Pardon me sir, but is there a reason why you refused to see the representatives from this company?" He asked, and Oscar nodded his head and replied, "Yes, I have my reasons, is there a problem?" He inquired, hoping that the MD hadn't come to talk him into changing his mind."Not that there is a problem sir... but uhm, Mr William Hudson, the CEO himself was a very good friend to your father, they've been in contract together for years now, and although they aren't the largest of companies they are one of our investments" John tried to explain, but Oscar wasn't listening. "Like I said, Mr John, I have my reasons, don't
Micheal couldn't wait to tell Ellen the good news, he knew that she would be relieved as much as he was, even if he had to wait a week, it didn't matter to him, as long as the contract was not terminated. Getting out of the elevator, Ellen couldn't wait to ask him how the meeting with John went. As soon as she saw him, she left her seat and walked up to him. "It was all a mistake," Micheal said, even before she asked, and Ellen heaved a sigh of relief. "I told you not to worry," she said, "I'm so glad it has been sorted out... "Not yet," Micheal interjected while walking toward one of the seats. "I'll have to come back in two days." While the couple chatted away, Oscar stepped out of the elevator, and the first thing he saw was the both of them. "Oh shit, I thought they'll be gone by now," He cursed, but unfortunately, he couldn't turn back now. His bodyguards were behind him, and he felt that it would be very awkward to just turn around and head back into the elevator. "Osc
"I was very disappointed sir when I saw her, I feel so bad that she had to leave you to be with someone else, now look at you, she would be left speechless when she learns that you are the CEO," Leo uttered after Oscar had narrated his ordeal with Ellen. "Let's not be too hasty," Oscar replied while looking out the window of the car, watching the street was a good source of entertainment for him. "I'm not even sure how long this will last," He added, as much as Oscar enjoyed what his life had become, he kept it in his mind that it could all end in the blink of an eye, if he wasn't the true Slytherin heir then it's over. "What do you mean by that sir? You are where you are supposed to be, of course it will last long, as long as Mrs Amy Slytherin is here, no one can stop you," Leo tried to encourage him, he was also aware of the reason why Amy was in such a haste to make Oscar CEO, and he supported her decision because Aiden can not be trusted. If not because the police had no evi
"What the hell do they want with me?" Oscar wondered while keeping his head low, the piece of glass pricked him, leaving his blood stains on each one he picked out of his skin. "Can this car go any faster!" The bodyguard yelled at the driver while trying to shoot down the men on the bike through the window. "Hold on!" The driver exclaimed before taking a sharp bend that caught everyone off guard. Both Leo and Oscar lost balance and leaned against the body of the car it turned. Before long, the next sound took them by surprise, and the sound of metal being dragged along the tar at high speed filled the air. The unpleasant sound that followed that loud bang could only mean one thing. "Shit, we've lost a tyre," the driver exclaimed. As the car stopped, it was only a miracle that the car did not flip from the impact of the explosion. "I guess we'll have to do this the hard way," the bodyguard quickly stepped out of the car with both guns in his hand. As the bike approached, he shot
