97. Twenty seconds

"Well this is temptation, and I'd rather just go into the room and finish the sleep I started on the train," Oscar said to himself as he stole a glance at the kitchen door where she had passed, and walked into the room.

He closed the door behind him and sat on the edge of the bed so that he could take off his shoes. Once done, he laid back on the bed, only to be interrupted by yet another knock on his bedroom door.

For a second, his heart skipped a beat when he thought that it was the maid, but his mind was laid to rest when he realized that it was just some bodyguard who had come with his box containing the clothes he'd wear, and they helped him arrange them in the wardrobe before leaving.

He laid back down and closed his eyes, and soon enough, Oscar drifted off into slumber, and there, things were not as peaceful as he hoped for them to be.
