Ch 06. Renting a New Apartment

Li Hanshen had just finished making his ID card. Just thinking about how long he had lined up for her ID photo shoot alone made his sick. Tens of people lined up and he got the last serial number, wishing he could destroy that ugly building.

"Alright... Since everything is done, then so be it. With this ID card, things will be much easier anyway. As for the birth card and other important documents, I'll just have someone else make them. It's too tiring to do it alone..." muttered Li Hanshen.

Given that he now had a lot of money, leaving the completion of important documents to someone else shouldn't be a problem.

Li Hanshen visited one of the apartment agents in the area near his inn. As he stepped inside, the fairly ordinary interior of the stall greeted him along with a middle-aged woman wearing after-workout, looking so comfortable.

"Welcome! Young man, did you come to see the apartment rental list?" the middle-aged woman asked Li Hanshen. His pair of eyes scanned Li Hanshen for a moment, looking appraising.

After a while, he said again, "we have some very new apartments and you're sure to love them. Come here, have a look at the designs first..."

Li Hanshen simply followed the middle-aged woman's lead. The woman opened a large book that described the interior and exterior designs of the apartment that was currently empty. Li Hanshen looked through everything carefully, there were many apartments with the kind of design he thought were good, so it was quite difficult to just decide on one.

"How about it? Which one do you like? Don't worry, I can give you 20 percent off for the first three months!" The middle-aged woman looked so persistent as if she was forcing Li Hanshen to rent the apartment unit under her wing.

"Thank you, aunt. Then I want this one..." Li Hanshen replied pointing to one of the pictures showing the interior design of the apartment with a homely feel.

"Ah? You picked a good unit, boy! This one was just finished and has the feel of a home rather than an apartment, and few people pay attention to it. But as for the annual rent, I'm afraid you'll have to consult your parents. The price is slightly higher than the other units, of course the 20 percent discount still applies to you."

Li Hanshen didn't give an answer right away, he looked again at the image printed on the paper. He did not deny that he liked luxury, but considering that it was only him and Yu Mei left, he would rather buy over rent a modest place. "No problem. Can we have a look at the apartment unit today?" Li Hanshen asked.

The middle-aged woman immediately smiled, seeing the young man in front of her not hesitate at all, it meant that he would definitely rent one of her apartment units. Although she wanted to know where did the young man get so much money despite his obviously young age, maybe in his 20s? Or even younger than that.

But that's none of his business at all. She was only in charge of renting out the apartment that the other party had entrusted to him.

Li Hanshen only nodded his head briefly, he followed right behind the middle-aged woman. The two of them arrived at the 7th floor which was actually quite high. The building itself has a total of 20 fairly high floors, and each floor accommodates two quite spacious apartment units. There are at least a total of 38 apartment units in the building, because there are no apartment units on the first floor.

After Ou Jian escorted the prospective tenant right to the front of the apartment unit, she immediately took out the apartment access card and opened the apartment door. "Come in..." She said as the apartment door opened.

When Li Hanshen entered the apartment, all he saw was an empty room with a beautiful view of the city as the opening. The young man entered every room while examining every corner carefully.

'No wonder why this unit is quite expensive even though its design seems simple...' Li Hanshen muttered in his heart.

With just one glance, the materials used for the construction of the apartments are indeed above average so that the defense will be sturdy and long lasting. Even though the design is simple, it doesn't detract from the beauty of the interior, proof that the architect who designed it thought the design very carefully.

And that's how Li Hanshen finally decided to rent an apartment instead of continuing to live in a hotel which of course cost a lot per day. After receiving the apartment access card after paying a year's rent of only 20,000 yuan, he returned to his hotel lodging and told Yu Mei that he had rented an apartment they could live in.
