After telling the old worker to clean the marble floor and to take the maids’ help if necessary, Russell went to his room and only came out to check on the old worker every now and then. He spent the rest of the time on the couch, doing something on his laptop.

Kyra, who had been considering sending him to another room, felt all the more driven to get that done as soon as possible. Wanting to find a reason to send him to a different room, she came and sat next to him and observed what he was doing.

Russell was sending replies to all the comments he received on his most recent video, which had crossed 800,000 views within 9 days after release. There were more than 12,000 comments, and so Russell had a big task to do.

“Are you really thinking of sending replies to everyone?” she asked.

“As many as I can,” he replied softly with a hint of happiness in his voice. “It’s going to take a few days, but I think interaction in the comments will also boost the video even more.”

“What’s this vide

Kyra was the one driving the all-electric Alfa Wolfe sports car.“Can you put it in self-driving mode?” Russell asked. “I want to see how it works.”“Oh, it’s actually pretty good,” Kyra switched the self-driving mode on. “The car can see what’s miles ahead of us. Not just that. It can even lay a 3D map and figure out the vehicles that were in other streets even when they’re out of view.”“It must be sending a lot of invisible rays to get that info,” Russell opined.“Indeed, though I don’t know how exactly that works,” Kyra let go of the steering wheel. The car drove on its own, heading toward the destination. “I bought some other electric cars in the past, but they were faulty one way or another. The self-driving mode wasn’t up to the mark in any of those, but this car is different. Do you know that there are only three cars like this one in the entire world?”Russell was shocked. “What’s the price?”“100 million.”Russell stopped blinking. “You are joking, right?”“No. This thing ha

The sports car stopped outside the farm house, attracting the attention of the neighbors, who kept peering from over the walls.“How was the ride?” Kyra asked a bit proudly.“It was smooth, but I think the car just ran over dog poop,” replied Russell.Kyra’s face scrunched. “T-That’s not possible.” She quickly got out of the car and looked at the front tires. What Russell said was right. The wheels had indeed run over dog poop. And Kyra looked shocked as well as angry.“Don’t be too disappointed,” Russell almost touched her shoulder but stopped himself. “There’s no such thing as a perfect thing in this world. Whether it’s a person or a car, imperfections are part and parcel of them.”Kyra glanced at him a bit madly. “I’m not that angry about the car. I’m more angry about the damn dog that pooped on the street.”“They are street dogs,” he casually stated. “We can’t expect manners from them.”“A dog pooped in front of your house, and you are taking it casually?”“I didn’t say that,” Rus

Russell woke up later than he usually would. “I feel strangely lethargic today.” When he walked out of his room, the maid was cleaning the dishes from last night. She smiled at him. “Did you sleep well?”“Not really, but I’m alright.” It just didn’t feel right when this selfish maid suddenly started caring. (Did she know that I got married to the Lynn family as well?)“One of the boys that snuck into your garden about a week ago was the son of my relatives,” she said. “I apologize in his place.”“Oh, so he must have dared to jump over the wall because he knew you were working here?”“Maybe.”“Still climbing over the walls and stealing fruits isn’t a good thing,” Russell said as he brushed his teeth. (Come to think of it, I captured the dog fight and fought four dogs last night. That’s why I slept late. No wonder I feel drained now.)“Mm?” The maid could see that Russell was almost falling forward.“Whoa, are you alright?” She grabbed him.“I’m fine.”“Are you sure you’re not sick?” If

Skarlett’s expression darkened immediately after seeing Kyra. “Why are you here? To see how we are suffering?”Kyra smiled pleasantly. “The rich man has his ice in the summer, and the poor man has his in the winter. Now, you can’t blame the rich man for the poor man’s inability, can you? Your parents couldn’t raise your sister well, which is why she’s denying you and your family any opportunities. I’m sure you must be thinking that Natasha has gotten a job, but her job is no different than a poor man getting ice in the winter. Roddick Heller will perfectly fit the definition of a man that deserves hell. Liar, adulterer, murderer, and the list goes on… He’s the embodiment of trash. The longer your sister stays under that guy, the more dangerous it is for her and for your entire family.”Skarlett found herself grinding her teeth as Kyra sounded like she cared for the Penneell family. “What did you come here for? That’s the main question.”“Are you going to make me talk without even invi

Kyra had thought about asking Skarlett to become her PA, but then, she didn’t want to keep her too close because she was pregnant. What if Skarlett were to find out that she didn’t become pregnant because of Russell? Kyra didn’t want that to happen. No outsider should ever doubt that the child in her belly wasn’t Russell’s.This was why she didn’t continue to persuade Russell to make Denver his PA, either, because she realized that it wasn’t a good idea. She would have much more to lose by keeping enemies closer during this time.As Kyra returned home, she touched her belly. “Pretty soon, I won't be able to go outside. The belly will grow in size and people will start noticing. I want to make Roddick pay for what he’s done, but….” she ground her teeth. “Is there nothing I can do until the baby is born?”After some thinking, she decided on something.“It seems I have no choice but to pit Russell against him. I will make it seem like Russell is more than enough to take care of him. This

Charlotte swiftly slapped him, utterly shocking both Russell and Kyra as it was completely unexpected. Moreover, she had put quite some strength into the slap, so it hurt quite a bit for Russell.“M-Mom! Why did you hit him?” Kyra demanded an answer.“You shut up,” Charlotte pointed her finger at Kyra, almost spitting venom from her mouth. Kyra’s heart skipped a beat because she had never seen Charlotte so angry before. “Look at the floor,” Charlotte growled at Russell, almost throwing herself at him.He looked down and noticed that the white marble floor had a shade of dark color to it. “What’s this layer of black thing on these tiles?”“That’s because the worker you hired probably used acid to clean the floor!” Charlotte grabbed Russell’s shirt firmly and twisted it, making a button pop out. “Do you have any idea how much each of these marbles mean to me? I fire the maids if they even forget to clean the floor for one day. These tiles collectively serve as a memento of my mother, an

Russell thought that the rest of the day would be miserable after getting slapped by Charlotte, but his mood brightened a little after he went to the farm house because his dog video was also getting pretty decent views. Moreover, the people in the neighborhood saw the video and came to thank Russell because one of those dogs had actually bitten one of their children, but they couldn’t find that dog ever since. They also told him to catch the dog next time, if possible. One of those people ordered pizza for Russell and his mother. Within minutes, the pizza-delivery guy arrived with lots of pizzas and distributed them. This pizza-delivery guy was Benjamin, the same guy that had come to the wedding.Russell took Benjamin to the side and asked, “Brother, can you please clarify this? How can you work as a pizza-delivery guy when you’re also a driver working for the Sterling family?”“That’s a long story. I’m afraid I don’t have the luxury to tell you the story right now,” Benjamin replied

The next morning.Seven dogs were found dead at random places in the street where Elora lived, and everyone in the neighborhood gave the credit to Russell, even though it wasn’t him who killed the dogs.Russell told them that he didn’t kill the dogs and to check the cameras to see who did it, but nobody really cared to do that because they strongly believed that it was his work. The dogs have been troubling them lately, so they appreciated what he did, and they presented him with all kinds of garden tools and also organic manure that would help nourish the plants in the garden.Russell requested the homeowner where one of the dogs died, and he checked their CCTV footage. To his shock, the dog suddenly coughed blood and died there on the street.“Damn, someone must have fed them poisoned food. Who could do such a horrible thing?” Russell felt angry. Shooting the violent street dogs dead was much more ethical than poisoning while acting like you’re feeding them, he thought. “If only I c

A few weeks later.Charlotte was at her home, eating peanuts, which didn’t taste good on her tongue right now. It wasn’t the peanuts that had the issue, but her tongue and her mind.“Even the food isn’t going inside,” Charlotte pitifully said. She called Kyra’s mobile, but Kyra didn’t answer.Seconds later, Kyra sent a text message: Don’t bother me.“Tsk, she’s completely cut herself off,” Charlotte tossed the mobile away at the wall. “But she’s sticking with Liam and Russell when they’re not even related to her by blood. It doesn’t make any sense!”“Do you want me to kidnap her and bring her here?” William asked.“Do you want Liam to kill both of us?” Charlotte asked him back.“N-No.”“Forget about Liam…” Charlotte looked at the file in her hand. “This bastard Russell came up with such a clever contract. If I sign this, I’ll basically be giving up my shares in the company, but in return, I’ll earn in the billions.”“Since he’s going to trouble you anyway, he’s giving you a profitable

Jessica was never gifted so many chocolates by anybody before. She immediately hugged Russell with excitement. “You’re the best!”“Wait, they are not just for you,” Russell said. “You’ll be sharing these with everyone at the table.”“U-Uh, of course,” Jessica couldn’t smile as freely anymore because there weren’t multiples for some types of chocolates, and she didn’t want to give those away to others. “I-I will do it after we finish dinner,” she said. “I mean, if we eat chocolates before, then we won’t be able to eat the meal properly.”“You can just distribute them now,” Russell said.“U-Um,” Jessica reluctantly got up and began to distribute the chocolates to everyone at the table. But when she came to Russell, she didn’t put any chocolate on his plate.“Wait, you forgot me,” Russell said. She leaned in and whispered in his ear, “Didn’t you say that I AM your chocolate?”Russell blushed. “Ahem,” he quickly controlled his expression. “I see.”Jessica sat down. A few nights later. At Tuna Waves restaurant. The entire top floor was booked by the Lynn family for the night.A large dining table was arranged in the center of the floor. Kyra was the first to attend, because she was the only one who arranged this dinner and invited the people she believed she should. As she waited a bit nervously, to her shock, Jessica was the first to arrive. She was dressed in her work attire and didn’t even have makeup on. Was she coming straight from work?Jessica sat down at a chair but didn’t speak to Kyra and just waited. There was an awkward atmosphere between these two.“I’m not going to eat you, so you can talk,” Kyra voiced her mind. “You came here early so that you can make sure nothing ‘strange’ happens, right?”“Well, I have to protect my guy,” Jessica replied, putting her mobile down, “so that I won’t lose him again.”“Don’t worry then. I think of Liam as my dad, so Russell becomes my brother now,” Kyra stated. “I can’t marry my brother now, can I?”

Other than Arnold, nobody was told that Liam was Russell’s biological father, as Elora and Liam just didn’t feel the need to do so.They believed that revealing that truth now would only bring unnecessary complications.Elora felt like a lot of burden had been lifted off her heart after she told Arnold the truth.Russell also felt happy that Viola was talking to him. Though James was still clouded by his anger, Russell didn’t feel bad about it as James was known for his impulsive behavior.Russell believed that James would understand with time.Liam and Elora went away in a different car, whereas Russell left in his Boyen Redemption. “I don’t get it. Why do you want to marry her of all people?” Teresa asked quickly. “She’s been sick for decades, and no one knows when she might get sick again and die, not that I’m wishing for it, but I’m just stating the possibility. In addition to that, Russell is already your son-in-law, isn’t he? So, if you marry his mother now, what will the world think of it?”Liam smiled and asked her, “You think I didn’t consider all those things?”“U-Uh…” Teresa didn’t know what to say because he looked calm despite everything she had just said. She looked at Elora. “Are you not going to eat anything?”“No, I’m full,” Elora said, even though the real reason she refused was because she didn’t want to eat what was brought by Jennifer. Elora then glanced at Arnold. “Can we talk privately?”Arnold was not expecting that. Without even looking at Teresa or Jennifer, he said, “Sure. Why not?”Jennifer didn’t want them to talk, but all she could do was stand there and watch as Arnold and Elora walk

Charlotte left the hospital, but on her way home, she received pictures from one of her friends. And these were pictures of Liam and Elora eating at a restaurant.“Stop the car,” Charlotte said.William quickly pressed the brake. He looked back, and Charlotte was fuming. She felt like her body was set on fire. She wasn’t able to stand it.“How can he…”Seeing Liam hold some other woman’s hand, she wasn't able to digest it and pulled her hair with one hand. “Fuck! This isn’t happening. Fuck! Fuck!”“What’s wrong, ma’am?” William quickly asked.“He’s getting away from me,” she said angrily as well as sadly. “He’s really getting away from me.”One mistake cost her everything. Her husband, her daughter, and even her sister, all of them moved away from her.The only person that was still with her was William.“Why won’t you also leave my side?” she asked him.“Does a dog ever leave the side of its master?” he said. “They may be manipulative, abusive, but the dog still loves its master.”Ch

You should manually cock for the first shot for it to be fired.” She kicked Natasha in the gut as hard as she could.Jessica was a very powerful woman, and so her kick sent Natasha crashing back violently.Jessica then sat on Natasha and began to hit her.“W-Wait,” Natasha tried to speak. “That gun wasn’t loaded.”“You expect me to believe that?” Jessica began to punch her face repeatedly, making her lips rupture and bleed. Still, she didn’t stop and kept going. The other employees gathered around. One of them picked up the revolver and checked for the bullets. “Ma’am, this gun really is empty.”Jessica was a bit shocked to hear that. “What?”“I told you…you fucking bitch!” Natasha grabbed Jessica’s throat and squeezed it. “I’ll kill you fo

“Aww,” Elora crashed on the floor and cringed in pain. Liam rushed over to help her and tried to help her get up, but she got up on her own, saying, “I’m not that old yet.”“I never said you were,” Liam put forward the bouquet of lilies.“What the… too white and bright,” she blurted. “Your taste sucks.”Liam was shocked because it was Russell’s suggestion.Elora plucked just one lily from the bouquet and smelled it. “Anyway, what brought the great Liam Lynn here. There’s no child in this house, you know.”Liam’s expression suddenly hardened. Whether she was trying to mock him or was purposely trying to tease him, it felt like a joke that went too far. However, he saw not a ounce of negativity in Elora’s eyes. It was as if she was testing him to see how he’d react. “My child, no, our child is in this house, is he not?” Liam replied.Elora somewhat smiled. “Yeah, he is upstairs. You can go and talk to him.” She sat back on the couch. “If you move out of the way, I’ll watch the TV. The c
