Miley, the receptionist, felt her heart throb for a second. She had never seen an old man with such a ripped shoulder. The veins on his arms were thick and too vivid to not notice.

“No, but tell him that Gerald is here, and he’ll come running,” he assured.

“Come running?” Miley got angry. “You come here in a sleeveless shirt and shorts and expect me to believe your words?”

“Whether you believe it or not, I spoke the truth,” Gerald said and then threatened. “Don’t waste my time, and inform your boss, or you’ll deeply regret it.”
