CHAPTER 301

In a forest, the seven-year-old Natasha was hiding in a bush, breathing very slowly while her eyes peeked through the gaps between the leaves. A rabbit passed by very close to the bush, but it didn’t sense her.

“He’s taking too long,” she thought. “I’ve been in this squatting position for over forty minutes now. Where is he?”

“Behind you,” a voice whispered, startling the heck out of Natasha.

“Kyaaa!” she jumped out of the bush in fright.

Russell rose out of the bush and laughed till his stomach hurt.

“W-When did you get behind me?” She was in shock. “How come I didn’t hear you?”

“That’s because I entered the bush exactly when you entered it,” Russell replied, smiling.

“Wait…” sweat fought for places on Natasha’s forehead. “You mean to tell me… you’ve been right behind me the entire time?” She gasped in shock.
