A kick crafted with all the strength his quads could offer saw the bear crash forward, chin-first.

Russell jumped, spun, and struck the bear’s spine with his heel.

The bear groaned in pain, but it rolled its body and tried to grab Russell. It happened so suddenly, and Russell lost his balance and fell to his right.

The bear got on top and was all over him, clawing at him and biting him wherever it could, trying to utterly destroy the enemy while grunting in between attacks. This went on for over twenty long seconds until Russell’s left hand clenched and flew into the bear’s jaw like a cannon. The jaw broke and multiple teeth flew out. The bear collapsed right on top of him and lost consciousness.

With great effort, Russell pushed the bear that was weighing over 1300 pounds. He received deep cut and bite wounds on his forearms and nowhere else, but his whole body was aching because his body felt crushed under its heavy weight for a few seconds.
