chapter 4.

"How could you burnt something that expensive", Amelia said.

"mmm... is it painful? that should be yours" Sophia said.

"

"Hell with you and your clothes! I don't even freak for it", Amelia claimed.

"I can't believe that is coming out from someone that almost cried some moments ago thinking it will burn" Sophia jested.

Amelia glared at Oliver, "Are you using her to ridicule me? but that doesn't change the fact you are a low life, you even hire her just to show off".

Sophia chuckled, "hire? well, you can say that. but he owned all this and it should have be yours".

Amelia couldn't help but yell in anger. "just get out of here. then why don't you give me instead of flaunting it. he is a lowlife and will remain so"

Sophia, with a nonchalant demeanour, responded, "they were meant for you, only if you were Oliver's wife. Since you aren't, they are useless."

Amelia retorted, "Do you think showing off what that all those jewelries makes you superior? If you wanted to give me something, you could have given them directly!".

"I can see you are in pain", Sophia said.

"In pain? I don't even care about any shit again, you could even set the car on fire and say it for me", she hissed.

A malicious smirk played on Sophia's face.

Amelia continued to express her dismay and face Olive.

"You ungrateful brat! After all these years of sucking yourself to me, we break up, and you bring this lady here to flaunt," she sneered.

Unfazed, Sophia scoffed, "You think that's the reason?"

Amelia, seething with anger, uttered, "Yes, he's always been a lowlife and will always be." The pain etched on her face was obvious, especially for the lost jewelry.

Ignoring Amelia's emotions, Sophia turned her attention to Oliver. "Let's go, please," she calmly requested as she picked up the bag, leading the way to the door.

Opening it for Oliver, Amelia watched as he entered and took a seat.

Oliver gave a final glance at Amelia, Sophia drove away without hesitation, leaving Amelia in anger and somehow jealous.

Amelia's eyes lingered on the fading silhouette of Oliver and his newfound companion as they departed.

She exhaled loudly and calmed down, then thought to herself.

"How could Oliver possibly afford such expensive items and associate with that beautiful lady? He's nothing more than a lowlife man who could never even afford the shoes of such a sophisticated lady."

With a dismissive scoff, she turned to Jackson and uttered, "Oliver is truly a dumbass. I'm sure he hired that lady just to vent his frustration on me."

Jackson, nodding in agreement, added, "Indeed, you can tell she's way out of his league. It seems like he just wanted to flaunt, and make you regret divorcing him ."

"He just failed, I don't regret a bit", she said but felt the words betrayed her.

Jackson murmured, "yeah… he failed, you are mine already".

Amelia commented, "But what a waste for him. The money he squandered on showcasing could have been better spent on improving his lowly poor life."

Jackson mused, "it's such a poor mentality, You know how poor people think when they're desperate. I'm sure he's regretting it now."

Amelia muttered, "Such a clown."

"You have to flaunt him also whenever we meet", Amelia said.

Jackson nodded

Suddenly, Jackson's exclamation pierced the air as he discovered the complete destruction of his car. "My car!".

Amelia moved closer to him and held his hand, stating, "Don't worry; we'll call the police and ensure they compensate for it in a more profitable way. Let's turn this unfortunate incident into an opportunity."

A devious smile played on her lips.

Jackson, wearing a confident smirk, declared, "Yes, we will charge him even higher than the price of the car".

Amelia hysterically laughed.

Jackson continued, "I can't wait to see that look of terror on his face when we mention the compensation amount." Amelia joined in, laughing, "Yeah... he'll regret what he did today."

Meanwhile, Oliver instructed Sophia to drop him off at his workplace as he had decided to resign due to an important matter.

Upon arriving, he headed straight to his office to write the resignation letter.

He entered the house only to find his lady boss Elena, engaged in conversation with a fat man who eyed him disapprovingly.

Elena's demeanour shifted upon spotting Olive; she approached him with delight, as if encountering an angel.

Grasping his hand tightly and wearing a warm smile, she seemed genuinely pleased to see him.

"He's my boyfriend; we have plans today, so he's here to pick me up," she said, casting a smiling glance at Oliver.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting; I was just addressing some issues," she explained to Olive, then turned to the fat man, saying, "Sorry, I have to go now."

The fat man glared at them, but Olive quickly caught on and instinctively wrapped his arm around Elena.

"Yeah, I've been waiting for her all day. We have a date, and please, we'll have to go now," he stated with a smile.

"Let's go, babe," Oliver said to Elena, putting on a theatrical smile, and she smiled back.

Elena then turned to the man who remained unmoved in his seat. "Let's talk another day, please."

The fat man sneered, laughing out loud, and stood up.

"Okay, that's a good thing, but I know you two are just putting on an act."

They exchanged glances as the fat man stood up, putting on a wry smile.

"I know you don't have a boyfriend and can't even have a boyfriend because you are a cold boss who wouldn't want to be under anyone. You are known for that," the fat man states.

Elena maintained her fake smiles and moved closer to Oliver.

The fat man approached them, saying, "But... I will be going now because it is not a good time to carry out my plan. I will surely come another time."

He smirked at Elena, gazing at her for a moment, then walked away, leaving the office.

Once he was completely gone, Elena released Oliver and let out a loud exhale.

Her expression shifted from the fake smiles to a cold and disturbed expression.

Oliver, sensing something was amiss, refrained from asking.

Facing him, Elena stated, "I will give you some bonus for what you did," in her characteristically cold boss manner. She abruptly left the office, heading to her own office.

Oliver waited and wrote the resignation letter then followed suit to the office.
