Chapter Thirty Three

Richard was seated directly under the swirling fan. There were several other students ahead of him on the queue that lined up in the front desk of the housing provision unit of the university.

He decided to step out from the queue for a few minutes. He went over to a vacant seat and sat in it. Then, he pulled out his phone and began to go through some notifications.

When he looked up, there was someone else on his door at the line. He shrugged and picked up his bag.

The person has earbuds plugged in and he kept nodding his head.

Richard stepped close to him and tapped him on his shoulder. “Hello?” He said.

The stranger took off his earbuds and eyed Richard. Then, he hissed as deeply as he could.

Richard, who was a bit surprised by his reaction, spoke up “Excuse me. You’re in my spot.”

“I didn’t meet anyone here “ The stranger retorted, rolling his eyes in his head.

“I saw you on that seat when I walked in. There’s nothing you can say to make me leave this spot”
