"The great dragon," he says as he takes a bow and then ticks his name without even calling it out. The old man simply smiles and watches him walk past. No one seems surprised about it except Logan.

'Why is no one saying anything?' he thinks as he stares sideways at the man, who keeps looking forward. Any warden or guard that passed by him would immediately bow before moving on

'Just who was this guy?'

*** Back at Lucas's house ***

"..........And that's how I got the ring," Logan says.

"Whoa man, he did all that?" Lucas asks in surprise.

"Yeah man, I swear it" Logan responds, "I really wouldn't have made it out of that shit hole if it weren't for him," he says.

"I still can't wrap my head around why those thugs let us go when they saw the ring though" Lucas responds, "There's something the old man didn't tell you. After all, there's gotta be a reason why even the prison wardens bow when they walk past him, right?"

"Right, and that's exactly what I'm gonna have to find out," Logan says.

"Got any clues?" He asks.

"Nah, but the old man did tell me to find his baby granddaughter and that it's only when I find her that it will all make sense why he did all that for me," Logan says.

"But how exactly are you gonna find her when all you got is a measly ring?" Lucas asks as he takes another sip of the soda, making a slurping sound as he sips.

"Well he did give me a little note but...." He pauses as he checks his pockets for the note.

"But what?" Lucas asks, "You lost it, didn't you?" He asks, shaking his head in disappointment as he watches Logan search every nook and cranny in his clothes.

"Got it!"

"Well it's about time," Lucas says with a roll of the eyeballs, "So what does it say?" He asks watching as Logan turns the paper in all directions in a bid to see if he can figure it out.

"Hello?" Lucas snaps him out of his head with a snap of his fingers.

"Oh sorry" Logan apologizes, "There isn't much on it honestly just some sort of Japanese type o' shit," he says as he hands the little note over. It's a tiny piece of brown paper, probably torn out from a notebook judging by its appearance.

"Let me take a look" Lucas insists as he takes the little note from Logan and stares at it.

"嘿,我的小天使,這個人是我的學生,他已經證明自己是一個有能力、值得尊敬的人。我希望祂帶領我們的家庭,我希望你們和祂一起生孩子。哈哈……我是認真的" it reads.

"Whoa man, ain't no way I can translate this type of shit," he says, "and it's Chinese by the way"

"Oh yeah? How can you tell?" Logan asks.

"I took a couple of lessons back in the day," he says proudly, "but I wasn't much of a good student" he adds with disappointment evident in his tone.

"Can you try to read it out a little though? Any translation might be useful" Logan asks.

He stares at the paper for a while and then nods slightly with his lower lip extended outwards and downwards.

"Well here goes nothing.....uhh.. Durham," he says as he clears his throat, ". Hēi,...wǒ de....xiǎo... hold on a sec,....tiānshǐ...fuck it, that's all I got," he says after quitting as quickly as he began.

"Okay fine, that part you read out, what does it mean?" Logan asks, listening with rapt attention.

"Ayy man, you ain't gonna like it, trust me," Lucas says, shaking his head.

"Come on man, hit me"

"Fine, the first line of the note reads, Hey my little angel." He says.

"What the fuck bro? Be serious for a minute"

"I ain't lying man. That's exactly what it means" Lucas says, "Who knows, maybe the old man is just some gay-ass pedo who didn't have the guts to tell you his true feelings" he says further as he tries to hold himself back from laughing.

"It's not funny man," Logan says with a serious look on his face.

"But I'm for real tho" he chuckles even more.

"Gimme that!" Logan says angrily as he snatches the piece of paper and walks out of the house.

A few hours later>>>>>>

Out on the busy street, horns blare as cars zoom past in different directions, each sound being doppler with distance. Logan seems a little lost as he searches for clues. He walks up to random people on the street, asking if they have an idea of what the symbol on the ring represents. Most of the people he walked up to, either turned him down, tried but couldn't get it, or most commonly, pretended like he didn't exist.

'Damn it!' he cussed silently in frustration as he runs his fingers through his blonde hair, ruffling his bangs in the process. Then seeing an Asian American teenager walking past with earphones in his ears, he runs towards him.

"Hey excuse me," he says as he taps the kid on his shoulder. He stops and turns to see who tapped him, as he takes out his earphones.

"Sorry man, can you help me out with something?" Logan asks. The boy takes a good look at him as if processing whether he should help or ignore, his face betraying his urge to just walk away. Without saying anything, he nods.

"Thanks. Do you have any idea what this logo means?" He asks, showing the boy the ring.

"Uhmm, I'm Jap man, so I don't get what's on it but, if you really wanna find it, why don't you head to Chinatown?" He suggests, "Somebody's gotta know what's on the ring around those parts," he says.

It still hurt home everywhere, in his dreams and everything he had done since that fateful night, he could still picture Brock's body hitting the ground. He was forced to drink to take the thought away from his mind, but it was stuck in.Even under the blankets, the night air felt cold as it freezes over his chest till that chilly air stings his lungs, and he groans heavily, he states the clock by his bedside, and groans when he sees what the time was.His fault was curled into a ball, shivering— He shut his eyes only to open them when he heard that bullet sound again at the back of his mind.Similar to the most tragic point of his life, it was raining heavily. A turn clasped, forcing him to open his eyes to the surrounding darkness and swore heavily as he pulled himself away to the switch—The light isn’t on, and the hum of the rain as it patterned against the window filled the room. It’s too cold. As he drew in a deep breath, sitting up in bed, feeling around forAnything with a powe

Joan runs her slender fingers over the fabric of her lace dress, the rough creases protesting against the smooth motion. She heaves a breath, memories of her last moments with Brock swirl in her mind. She swipes at a stray tear before it leaves the safety of her eyes.Brock had been an excellent assistant and, in her mind, he still is. She coats her lips a final time with the black lipstick she always keeps in her purse. Today is going to be a long day!She throws in a white handkerchief, the family emblem Brock always wears and the lipstick in her matching purse. She steps out of the room to the gloomy air, the stench of masked pain and sadness staining the pleasant aroma of the flowers maids carry as they pass by the group, their heads in a bow.Every member standing at attention on both sides of Joan is dressed immaculately in an Armani black suit. She nods to each man in acknowledgment as she passes between each of them, her eyes, however, focused forward, to the point where the p

"Of course, I am what else do you think?" He clicked his gun and this drew a smirk from the other man."This is no mere child's play, we can still back away and come back when you are ready."Logan doesn’t comment on it. He thought about the offer there on the table and his feeble mind humored at the idea of it.“I will be here during the storm, I would fight through it as well,” he says, lookinganywhere but at Brock."I hope you still keep to your word when things get heated up."He barely registers the words, as the sound of the men moving with a low rumble builds in his chest as he narrows his eyes at them."Let's do this ." He patted him on the back."Well then, best of luck …Stay alive.” he rumbles. “Or won't you want to? "He already knows the answer. He smells Logan's fear, desperation, and his need but if there was anything that he had learned about the man so far, it was the fact that he fought through them.“I would,” He confirms.“I owe you a drink after this ” Logan mutter

“I mean, you will still have to finish the three tasks from the bet."She walked along silently for a moment, considering the information. She looked at Logan."Fine then.""Good ."She stole a look out of the corner of her eyes at how calm he was. She hesitated, in her mind at first but then decided it could not harm to tell him the truth. She had to tell him the other clause In the contract, she stared at the mark, apparently speechless. Finally, she collected herself and killed off a smile on her face.He could see the serious look she had on her face and immediately he felt concerned about it."What is the problem?"Logan asked. He locked his gaze with her, in a way he was looking more worried than even Joanne had looked."There is something I have to tell you.""What is it?"She opened her mouth to speak but Brock joined them." It is time. " Brock muttered. The Craven Sanctum;West Chinatown.Mere looking at the inscription on the walls with a binocular one could see the darkness

Logan watched them leave, his mind was again filled with the fact that he needed a shower, and then he could figure out what his next stepsare as He longed for his revenge —"When do you think I will be discharged?" He asked. She smiles sheepishly. " By the weekend. ""Weekend!" He grimaced, noting I was too far and he had to do something.Soon after she had left, he waited for a while, he opened his eyes tiptoed down the hall, and peeked at the back door to see if any nurse was at the table. The door sits in the frame at an awkward angle, almost as though it was a trap, and at any moment anyone might just walk to the door and see him trying to leave. The sun shines in through the small windows, the sky beautiful and blue.He walked to the door briskly and soon he was out.He was certainly the last person anyone was expecting to see, at the moment he stood there still dressed in hospital wear, and the maid that got the door could barely stop herself from laughing watching as he walked

“Hi, I’m here to see the man that was just brought in,” she muttered to the Blonde-haired, woman behind the desk."Were you the one I called a moment ago?"Joan looked back at Brock. "Yes."“He is in the ICU. Why don’t you have a seat and someone will be available shortly to speak with you.”“But we got a call from you guys. Can I go back and—”“Have a seat and someone will be out to speak with you.”She walked back to her seat and sat down slowly, reminding herself why she hated the West.On the wall a clock ticked at the same pace with her pulsating nerves. After a gasp Logan's eyes fluttered open, he looked around the room that wasn't his, the unfamiliarity of the room sinking into his inner mind."Where am I ?" He questioned. The Images of the previous night flooded through his mind, last night he had thought it would most certainly be his last, but he was in this —.He tried sitting up but felt a sharp pain at the side of his head.He let out a cry of anguish.
