Epic 30

"I struggled to contain my frustration as the suspect remained silent, refusing to speak. I couldn't understand why he wouldn't talk to me. It was maddening! With a heavy sigh, I turned to leave, only to see Timi standing in the doorway, their faces pale. I knew they had something important to tell me. I gestured for them to follow me outside, and we walked to a quiet corner of the station."

"Where's Dan?" I whispered to Timi, my brow furrowed.

"He doesn't know I'm here. He stormed off, angry as a hornet's nest. Apparently, he found out we're not really related." Timi's voice was hushed as if he was afraid of being overheard.

The station was eerily quiet, the only sound the faint hum of the fluorescent lights overhead. The air felt heavy like a storm was brewing. My stomach was in knots, and I had a feeling that something bad was about to happen.

Timi's eyes widened, and he grabbed my arm, pulling me toward the back door of the station. "We need to get out of here," he hissed.
