Epic 29

The room was silent, except for the sound of breathing. The husband's eyes were fixed on the DNA test results, his hands clenched into fists. The woman's eyes were wide with fear and confusion, but there was something else there, too - a hint of deception. She was hiding something.

The husband looked at her, his eyes filled with anger and hurt. He knew she was lying, but he couldn't understand why. "You're lying," he said, his voice shaking with fear.

"No, I'm not!" the woman protested, her voice rising in pitch. "I... I would never lie to you!"

But the husband could see the lie in her eyes, and it filled him with rage. He slammed his fist down on the table, making the test results jump. "Stop it! Just stop lying!" he shouted, his voice raw with emotion. "I... I can't take this anymore!"

The woman's eyes filled with tears, but she held her ground. "I'm not lying!" she insisted, her voice growing louder. "I... I would never do that to you.
