Epic 34

"Let's go home, bro," I said to Timi, trying to sound reassuring. I knew he was upset and I didn't want to push him. I just wanted to get him out of there and make sure he was okay.

Timi nodded and followed me out of the station. We walked to the car in silence, both of us lost in our thoughts. I could tell Timi was still reeling from what had just happened. I just hoped I could help him through it.

"It's just so strange, you know?" I said, trying to break the silence between us. "I've never seen anything like that before. I mean, for a murderer to turn himself in like that... it's just crazy."

Timi nodded, still looking deep in thought. "It is crazy. But maybe he just felt guilty and wanted to do the right thing."

"But even so, it's not often that a murderer has to surrender that easily"

"It's just so strange," I said again, unable to let the subject go. "What could have made him do it? I mean, it's not like he's some kind of saint. He's a murderer, after all."
