Epic 35

The sunlight streaming through the window woke me up. I opened my eyes and yawned, trying to shake off the sleepiness. As I sat up, I heard the birds chirping outside, and I smiled. It was a beautiful morning.

I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash my face. As the cold water hit my skin, I felt more awake. I brushed my teeth and put on my clothes, ready to start the day.

As I walked out of my bedroom, I heard a sound from the kitchen, it was Timi, he was already in the kitchen making coffee. I could tell he was still upset about the situation with Inspector John. He barely looked at me as I sat down at the table.

"Do you want some coffee?" he asked, his voice flat.

"Sure, thanks," I replied, trying to sound cheerful.

"How was your sleep?" I asked, hoping to start a conversation. Timi just shrugged.

"Not great," he said. "I kept thinking about what happened with Inspector John. It's just so frustrating. I don't know how we're going to solve this case now."
