Timi nodded, his eyes darting back and forth. "There's a cave up ahead. If we can make it there, we might be able to hide until our backup arrives."

Jasmine hesitated, the idea of entering the dark and unknown a chilling prospect. But she knew they were out of options.

"Let's go," she whispered, her fingers wrapping around her weapon.
