As Kyrian and Jasmine made their final preparations for the trip, a familiar voice called out from the hospital room doorway.

"Hey there, sleepyhead," Timi said, her voice teasing and warm. "I hear you've been having all the fun without me."

Kyrian's face lit up at the sight of his childhood friend. "Timi!" he exclaimed, his heart lifting at the sight of her. "What are you doing here?"

Timi stepped into the room, her arms full of get-well balloons and gifts. "Well, I couldn't let my best friend go off on some dangerous Arctic adventure without saying goodbye, now could I?" Timi replied, settling down into a chair next to Kyrian's bed. "Besides, I heard you were being all dramatic and breaking your leg for attention. I had to come to see for myself."
