Changing The Will

Upon receiving the news of Old Nixon's critical condition, Alfred Nixon rushed over immediately. He blamed Amanda for everything, convinced that she harbored resentment and had influenced Carl Charles to unilaterally breach the contract, causing a chain reaction that led to the current state of Nixon Corporation.

However, before Alfred Nixon could land a slap on Amanda, his hand was intercepted in midair by Ken.

Ken held Alfred Nixon's hand, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

Alfred Nixon had never seen such a gaze, feeling a chill running down his spine as he quickly stepped back.

"What do you want, you coward?" Alfred Nixon swallowed hard, questioning.

"What do I want? You hit my wife. You're asking me what I want?" Ken took a step forward, his aura intensified, standing protectively in front of Amanda.

Seeing Ken blocking his way, Amanda couldn't help but feel a sense of security.

Surrounded by Nixon family members, Alfred Nixon regained confidence and pointed at Ken:

"Old Nixon wants to revise his will. Why are you rushing over here?"

"I'm telling you, as a son-in-law who came knocking on the door, even if Old Nixon gives you money, you won't get it. Moreover, Amanda still owes Nixon Corporation fifty million. Don't think I've forgotten about that!"

Ken looked at Alfred Nixon and sneered, "This morning, I had someone deliver the money—several dozen boxes of cash. Didn't you see them?"

The crowd erupted in astonishment.

Most present were high-ranking members of Nixon Corporation. They only saw Carl Charles with a team of bodyguards carrying boxes into Alfred Nixon's office in the morning, but they had no idea about the money.

Alfred Nixon, feeling the scrutiny from those around him, hastily denied, "What fifty million? I didn't see anything."

"Do you think I'm crazy from poverty? Take a look in the mirror. With your pathetic appearance, can you come up with fifty million? In fact, did you even see the money?"

The Nixon family members nodded in agreement. After all, everyone in the Nixon family knew that Ken, this son-in-law, was a complete loser, penniless. Even five thousand, not to mention fifty million, was beyond his reach.

As for the fifty million delivered to the office this morning, Alfred Nixon had already instructed Samuel Nixon to transfer it to a private account before his arrival. With Nixon Corporation on the brink of bankruptcy, he needed an escape route.

Ken sneered and said slowly, "Alfred Nixon, did you really not see the fifty million, or do you just want to pocket it?"

"Do you really think everyone in the company is blind? Dozens of boxes, could they have vanished into thin air? You were happy to accept the money, but now you're saying you didn't see it. Perhaps you've already moved the money somewhere else?"

Alfred Nixon's body trembled, a cold sweat forming on his forehead. He never expected Ken to figure out how the money was delivered or that he had moved it.

"You, you're spouting nonsense!"

Alfred Nixon quickly denied, "You're just trying to tarnish my reputation to get more of Old Nixon's inheritance."

"I advise you to give up on that idea. The fifty million must be repaid by Amanda. Your family won't get a single penny."

Alfred Nixon tore off the last shred of pretense.

Ken looked at Alfred Nixon's anxious appearance and took a step forward.

"You accuse me of coveting Old Nixon's inheritance and framing you? Well, let me ask you this: What is there to fight for in this company on the brink of bankruptcy? Are we fighting over a pile of debt?"

"Previously, you targeted my wife at every turn because you were jealous. You feared she would threaten your position and take a share of the Nixon family's assets. Now, with the company on the verge of bankruptcy, instead of thinking about using the fifty million to save the company, revitalize the stock market, you're trying to shift all the blame, hide the money!"

"Nixon Corporation has parasites like you. Even if it doesn't go bankrupt today, it won't be long before it does!"

Ken's strong words left Alfred Nixon feeling ashamed.

The onlookers, Nixon family members, couldn't believe that a worthless son-in-law had pushed Alfred Nixon to this extent!

Standing behind Ken, Amanda, in addition to feeling shocked, for the first time, began to doubt Ken.

Was the man in front of her really a useless person?

Amid the stunned crowd, coughing sounds came from the hospital bed.

Old Nixon, in a moment of clarity, knew everyone's eyes were on him, but it was understood that this was just a brief resurgence, and his body wouldn't hold out for much longer.

"Dad."

"Grandpa."

The Nixon family members gathered around the bed.

Old Nixon waved his hand, struggling to speak, "Nixon Corporation is my life's work."

"Lawyer, I want to amend my will."

In the crowd, a middle-aged man with gold-rimmed glasses, dressed in a sharp suit and carrying a briefcase, stepped forward.

"Mr. Nixon, go ahead," the man said, taking out paper and pen from his briefcase.

The elderly patriarch of the Nixon family struggled to speak, "The previous will is null and void. From now on, anyone present who can save Nixon Corporation will inherit all my assets and shares of the companies under my name."

"If Nixon Corporation goes bankrupt..."

"The proceeds from the liquidation will all be donated, not a penny will be kept!"

The Nixon family members opened their mouths in disbelief, inhaling sharply.

"I disagree!"
