“What do you mean by we don’t have any tangible evidence? Isn’t it your job to find every piece of evidence in order to find the culprit?” Alex questioned quickly, while staring at Jeffrey sternly.

“Well… yes, it’s my job. But I have no tangible evidence yet,” Jeffrey replied, causing Alex to huff, “It’s best to say you are incompetent and incapable of finding the culprit, instead of going around in circles like a snail.”

With that, Jeffrey sprang to his feet, then he approached Alex with his chest puffed out confidently, “Well, Mr. Alex, if you think that I am not capable, maybe you should find the culprit yourself.”

“What?! How dare you say that to me! I hired you, remember?” Alex growled, but Jeffrey didn’t back down. Instead, he confidently stared into Alex’s brown eyes.
