The front porch of the clinic was filled with uniformed officers. Incidentally, for the past few days Leon seemed to have a lot of run-ins with the cops, it seemed uniformed officers were virtually trailing him about. But for a change, Leon wasn't the subject of assault that time, he just couldn't see whoever it was because the whole place was entirely swarmed. The doctor walked up to him, almost jogging to catch up. Leon turned to Hector and told him to wait a little at the car. He looked at the doctor who couldn't stare at him in the eyes. "I knew you were familiar when you walked in but I couldn't place it," he said slowly, all the while, not meeting his eyes. "I guess we will meet again," Leon said with a plain look on his face. He didn't hate the doctor for what he did, he understood that life was a little gray around the edges and people didn't really have to help him. He didn't have to be loved, all he had to do was save people and make sure no one trampled on him while at it. Hopkins was daring him before the entire crowd, he could see the eager faces of all his staff gazing at him, practically asking him to agree to what Hopkins had just said. Leon turned to Lily with an arched brow, his eyes red with fury. Lily shrugged and whispered, "I told you it was a shit show, sir." Hopkins on the other hand didn't look affected at all, he rather looked pleased at Leon's anger. "Who said I was going to step down?" He asked and Hopkins feigned shock. He did it so perfectly that for a minute, Leon almost believed that the man was genuinely surprised. "What? You said it yourself, Leon, you said you were stepping down, you agreed it was a good idea for you to step down and let someone who really knew what the company was about to actually take over," Hopkins said. Xavier sat at the edge of the desk with a bottle of champagne between himself and Leon. Both men hadn't tasted the drink since it was served by the kind Italian waiter, they were both tense and waiting for who would break the ice. "I heard what happened at XLT," Xavier said almost at the same time that Leon decided to speak. "You go first," Xavier added but Leon simply shook his head and offered to speak instead. "So, what happened?" He asked. "Nothing of significance, a few changes just needs to be made at the office, that's all," he replied. Leon didn't feel comfortable looking like a lowly staff member being questioned by his superior. He could see the effort that Xavier had put into making him feel relaxed. The man was dressed in a simple T-shirt and a pair of denim but a baseball cap to go with it. He even attempted to take up a game of chase with him before they sat down to the conversation but Leon wasn't really up to it and it must have been quite obvious at some point.

Tracy stood at the doorway of her family mansion, she was dressed in a leather skirt and pair of boots that reached up to her mid thighs. Not only was she scantily dressed but she didn't look so sober either. "Is this a way of showing us that you're rebellious? Because we still don't get your message," her mother, Grace said to her angrily. Sylvester Caden was also in the large living room and he didn't look happy either. Tracy ignored both of them and made her way to the staircase, heading to her room. "One more step and you will be stripped of everything you own, I dare you," Sylvester spoke in such a cold voice that Tracy stopped at the landing of the staircase and turned to face her parents. "What do you want from me, father?" She asked in an equally stoic tone. Sylvester snorted and Grace gasped. Bryan marched to the car, a scowl on his face as she folded his arms and leveled Leon with a stare that stopped him right on his tracks. "What are you discussing with my brother?" He asked. Leon was a little confused. He figured that not many liked him and the new position he'd acquired from Xavier but he didn't expect Bryan to be one of them and take it so far. "I don't understand, why would you ask that, do you have a problem with me discussing anything with Xavier?" He asked. "Not when I know what his intentions are," Bryan replied swiftly. Leon was taken aback for a moment and he asked him what he meant by that. "Did you just say his intentions?" He asked and Bryan nodded. "Yes, I said his intentions," he replied and looked at the tent where Xavier and Leon had sat just a few moments back. There is no way you can ever completely take over XLT if all the workers still remain loyal to Xavier," he advised. Leon could not argue with that naked truth. It was clear that even during the meeting with Hopkins when the greedy man had tried to doctor his own resignation, the staff were all attentive to Hopkins and it seemed that was where their loyalties lay because they knew him and were familiar with him. In front of the building, Leon could spot Tracy standing at the porch, her eyes hidden behind a pair or large dark glasses. She was pacing and he knew that wasn't good. Tracy Caden was a calm and composed girl, she was never ruffled despite the situation and she exuded authority right through her pores. But recently, Leon couldn't help but notice that she wasn't so serene. The last time they had met, she had been in such a hurry to leave that he almost thought that he had upset her - and maybe he had - but he didn't have any idea what he did or said.
