Leon pushed through his array of shirts and pants. They were mostly crisp white shirts all laundered and pressed and black pants that would have put the best banker to shame. As much as he'd been the jeans and T-shirt guy, his sudden rise in society demanded more from him and Leon found himself suddenly dressing up in a way that more more befitting of his place as the heir of professor Xavier and the new CEO of XLT company as well as several other holdings in the city and beyond. His brush with death - although very temporary - had made him realize how little he'd taken advantage of all Xavier had given to him in a gold platter. Maybe it was what Billy had done - or tried to do - that triggered him or it was just his awakening to the fact that he needed more from life. The drive to the party wasn't a very quiet one. Fiona was pretty chatty as she spoke about everything with him, asking him why he changed his mind and if he was sure that he was fit for the party. "Are you certain that everything is okay?" She asked yet again and all Leon did was nod. There was no way he was going to kiss the party for any reason. He had to attend and find out if the flash forward he had was a figment of his imagination, some prophecy or he was just losing his goddamn mind. Still in the car, her phone rang and she flipped it out of her purse. It was one of her friends and they were already at the party and asking for her. "I'll be there real soon, I had to take someone along," she replied. Leon could hear catcalls and whistles from the other end of the line as all the girls cheered her and wanted to get details. "Come on, I came to talk right now, we all will talk when I get to the party," she said with a wide smile, "Don't worry, I'll be there pretty soon,"
Fiona was up from the barstool in a matter of minutes and the alcohol kept flowing freely. Leon Was still holding water which had gotten warm after such a long time. The girls were really having fun and he couldn't help but envy them. The DJ was doing a good job with the music and he really liked it. The ladies and a few others were the only ones at the party. Leon could only see a few men that appeared to be the men of the otter friends. Fiona looked lonely and almost miserable but she didn't call him despite looking down at her phone dof several minutes. Leon felt bad for letting her celebrate all by herself. He wanted to go over there and keep her company and also prove to her friends that she wasn't lying when she mentioned bringing a man to the party. He could see the first girl who seemed very antagonistic grinding against some man on the dance floor. Fiona looked at them with a bitter look on her face and then she looked around the club once more. Leon's hands itche
Fiona got out of the restroom stall in just a few minutes. She was wiping at her hands profusely with a paper towel then she tossed it in the wastebin that was at the side of the restroom hall. "Thank you so much Elsa, I really needed something other than that strong alcohol, I was beginning to feel really tipsy," Fiona confessed. The blonde lady - who Leon was just realizing that her name was Elsa - handed the glass to Fiona with a smile on her face, urging her to drink, "I've got you, baby girl, I know just what you need," She said with a smile. But just as Fiona was about to lift the glass to her lips, Leon walked into the restroom. "Don't drink it!" He snapped her. Also was the first person to react once she noted that she had been interrupted and it was indeed a man standing in the hall of the female restroom. "What kind of psychopaths are you?!" Elsa yelled in shock at seeing him. Fiona almost jumped out of her skin before she relaxed and noticed that it was only
Fiona stared in awe as she recalled that Leon had insisted on coming to the party even after turning her down the first time. It was quite unlike him to come to any party, especially one that he was sure would be filled up with ladies and music and as it actually turned out - strippers. She didn't understand why he had suddenly changed his mind. "Leon, it's true that you didn't want to come to the party in the first place, you're right," Fiona said and looked at him worriedly. Elsa was still defensive and tried to convince her friend that the man was lying and she would never want to hurt her for any reason. "Fiona, how could you believe this man over me? You left you at the party and went elsewhere, isn't it clear that he's trying to ruin your good time?" She asked, trying to play the emotional trick on her. "Leon, talk to me, why did you show up at that party? Why did you change your mind?" Fiona asked him, this time her eyes were fiercely on him, she believed that there was
Fiona was shaking as the cops took Elsa out of the building, kicking and screaming and she said that she didn't do anything. At the bar, as she picked up her purse and was walking out the front door. Her other two friends walked up to her and asked what had just happened. "What happened there? Why is Elsa being taken away?" One of them asked. "I don't understand. One minute you were in the bathroom and she offered to bring you a glass of wine and the next thing the cops are taking her out?" The second one inquired. . Leon shook his head at Fiona, telling her that she shouldn't say anything unless the investigations are over. "I know.that you still have your reservations because you know my powers and you dont think I'm very certain of what I saw. I don't want you to ruin your friend's name and reputation on my account. Although I'm certain of what I saw, I'm willing to wait until the cops are done investigating," he stated slowly, just for her hearing. The rest of the friend
