“Gerald are you sure that it’s safe to leave the fight to Zack?” Ellaine said in a soft tone, audible only to those who are around.

They can hear the fight happening and can even see it. But they’re pretending not to. The same way that they’re pretending that Merlin doesn’t exist. That’s how pathetic these individuals are.

“Is that supposed to be a trick question?” Gerald asked. “We all know how powerful Zack is in combat, all of you should’ve felt it by now.”

“Yeah but, what if he can’t deal with this monster alone?”

“Plus wouldn’t it be wiser for us to fight alongside him?”

“Yeah and another thing – what if he dies?”

The questions kept coming one after the other. But if one would analyze the words they are using, it’s easy to know that they aren’t actually thinking about the safety of Zack at all. The only thing they are thinking about is their own safety in connection to what will happen to Zack whose real identity they still do not know.

The true colors of the group are finally

Before anything else, an explanation is in order. Baphomet’s armors isn’t easy to break. In fact, it should’ve taken more than what Merlin did in order to accomplish this. But the thing is, Merlin made sure that he’d be able to deal damage to the demon. If you look back, Merlin attacked at the beginning of this fight as well. And he didn’t simply choose a random spot to strike. That’s right, the half-demon also struck the nape of Baphomet during that time. And though he isn’t able to cut through the first time, he at least got what he came there for – information. The purpose of his initial attack is to understand just how difficult it would be for him to break the armor. Furthermore, although not being able to damage the demon the first time, this allowed Merlin to at least leave a dent on the armor. Meaning, the next time he attacks at this very same spot, it would be easier for him to break it. That is exactly what happened. But aside from the information and the force that he use

Before the fight began, Merlin readied his weapons. Like he has always done, he made sure that all the necessary items are in place. The health and mana potions looted from the monster camps. The weaponry he’ll rely on. As well as the countermeasures that might be useful against the foe he’ll face. There isn’t the slightest bit of nervousness that Merlin can feel. This is not some unfounded confidence that he’s displaying. This stems purely from the fact that he is the strongest – earned through effort and a depth in game comprehension.Although he is starting over from [Level 1], all the experiences he built-up until that point isn’t lost. He has this with him and he intends to make full use of it in the coming fight. That being said, there is something that he placed on his daggers.Poison.The same poison that he used against the hounds is placed on his daggers. He dipped both of these in the liquid – using it up in its entirety. He planned to use this on Gerald but that needs to c

Trigger Warning: This chapter contains explicit violence. Read it with caution.………Right before the fight could end, Gerald and his scheming allies began to plan what they will be doing next. All of them has the singular thought of gaining all of the experience points for themselves. There is no thought of leaving Merlin alive at all. They need him dead.“We’ll wait for the moment before he delivers the finishing strike.” Gerald said. “It would be easy to attack him when he’s preoccupied.” “What are we going to use?” Jibril asked. It is the perfect time for them to talk because Merlin and the demon are still in the middle of a heated exchange. Surely he won’t notice us. Is the idea running through their heads as they continued to convene their plans.“You will burn him alive.” Gerald said. “The other attacks can follow, just make sure that you catch him inside your flames.”“I don’t have an attack like that though.” Jibril said.“Idiot. Five Minutes.Merlin had to spend five more minutes after dealing with everyone in order to recover from the effects of his transformation. The recoil this brought is stronger than he anticipated. Making him feel every flesh he cut and every bone he broke. The pain is enough to make someone lose consciousness, but not Merlin. He’s used to this by now. All thanks to his former allies who made it their goal to torture him every day. Especially Arthur, a person high up on Merlin’s list of people to kill.Hence he’s able to begin looking into the rewards. There are a lot of things for him to sort because of this fight. And since his head isn’t entirely clear yet, he began with the easier tasks.[Notice: You have finished the Hidden Quest – Proof of Blood][Requirement: Kill five people in total.][Reward: Crest of Deprivation]That doesn’t sound good, are the words that ran through Merlin’s head as he read through the text. A man with graying hair entered the tavern. Eyes followed him as he moved, those that belong to the merry drunkards who are filling their bellies with alcohol. Moonlight can be seen from outside the windows, gentle in comparison to the liveliness of these drunk men.The man who just entered moved through the crowd, not making a single eye contact. Everyone knows that it’s a bad idea to look at men whose heads aren’t in the right place. This precaution is used by the man until he finally reached his destination; a group of five at the second floor of the tavern.None of them have cloaks hiding their faces. That’s why it’s easy to make out who they are. None other than Merlin’s former allies. Members of Avalon and, to be more precise, the ones at the top of the rankings of the Guild.“Any news Sam?” Arthur asked in an impatient tone.“None sir.” The butler answered. “There doesn’t seem to be any link between the dungeon clearers and Gerald’s team.” There isn’t any system announcement o

  • The Strongest Player is a Demon Lord   The Dungeon Master

Merlin began his journey as the owner of a dungeon. He still hasn’t forgotten about his revenge but there’s one thing he realized. He doesn’t want to kill them all right away. The feeling of pleasure he got from taking down Gerald made him realize this. That he should be intimate with the death of every member of Avalon. Meaning, he needs to give each of them a unique death. This is the only way he’ll finally be at peace. That being said he focused his energy and resources into starting up his dungeon. He isn’t an idiot to just run into Genesis City thinking that he’d be able to get what he wants. The reason why every player begins in this place is because it boasts of a high level of security. Owing to the fact that powerful mages worked together to fortify its defenses, there is a barrier that protects this place which is comparable to the strength of Merlin’s [Aegis]. This makes it impregnable to monsters and, since Merlin is now half monster himself, he doubts if he can even pass

Three months has passed since Merlin waged war against the entirety of the human continent. Within this time, a lot of things have already happened. Though the first month is spent in relative silence, without much fighting and bloodbath, the same cannot be said for the months that followed after this.Though the first month could be called as calm and tame, what happened shortly after this is far from this description. There is no calm anymore. It is replaced, entirely, by a storm. One brought about by the demon lord Merlin Warlock and all of the vengeful spirit he has against the human race that has done noting but earn his utmost spite and resentment.Under the leadership of the demon lord, the forces of evil has advanced rapidly in the middle of the second month. A Different Task

Every general that Merlin commands participated in a form of combat. This means that even Teach himself went to fight a couple of monsters along the way. The only difference between him and the others is that, Teach didn’t encounter any of the generals from the five continents. Call it luck if you will but he doesn’t actually take pride in this. Far from it, Teach is a bit disappointed that he doesn’t get to have the same kind of action that the others are getting.Gerant went and fought against a great general of the north who makes use of a cursed sword. The battle is a crucial part of the plan for the demon lord’s army to succeed because, with the victory of the blood ogre also comes the safety of the entirety of the demon lord’s territory from a sneak attack from the back. Then there’s the battle that Sylvie the dark elf experienced. One where she came face to face against another great general. The only tactical mind within the kingdom of Helios. If left unchecked, this person wo

Just like Sylvie and Gerant, Samira also encountered a general in the battlefield. A very powerful one at that because, this human is also the right-hand man of King Wolfhound. The greatest soldier that’s only second to the king himself. None other than Augustus. The general has already taken down a city and two villages that the monsters of the demon lord has occupied. As such, he’s making the most progress out of anyone. Clearing out the problems in such a rate that, if left alone, he would entirely wipe out all of the problems that the kingdom has. That’s why he has to be dealt with and, that’s why Samira came to pay him a visit. Not during the day when she’s weak of course but, rather, during the hours of the night. Making full use of the powers granted to her by moonlight. A privilege only she enjoys. With this, her powers are greatly boosted. Maybe too much to be exact because, right now, even the great general isn’t posing as a threat to her at all. “You’re a lot weaker than I

Thundering crashes continued within Raider city. Earthquakes of some sort that made some of the soldiers and even some of the monsters stop from fighting. Nobody could disregard it or pretend that it does not exist because of how easy it is to lose balance due to the force of every tremor that’s made and, the exceeding loudness that are emitted by these same forceful and powerful vibrations.Unlike the monsters and the humans however, the skeletons continued to move. The third faction that entered into the fray through seeming portals that made them come out in large quantities. Mixed with powerful monsters that tear upon the soldiers of Helios. The relentless attack of the skeletons, although not lethal at all, is enough to take the attention of the humans. Though this doesn’t make their fighting any less difficult. With the addition of these creatures, the monsters that invaded the city have finally begun to be able to fight back. The dark elf stood on top of the roof of a building standing just in front of General Justus. Completely alone and unguarded. This might seem like a poor choice on the part of the dark elf but, Justus can feel that the creature is strong enough to leave itself this way.Though this did not stop him from giving an order to nearby archers he placed around the vicinity as well. Doing so with a simple command spell that he placed on himself and the said units. Granting them a target mark which tells them who it is that they need to shoot and, for them to get a clear shot, he needs to continue getting the attention of this new opponent. The archers are all, of course, trained by him in secret. This is something he requested from King Wolfhound himself. Meaning, these are all exceptional soldiers. That’s why the general knows that they’d be able to handle their target without much trouble at all.“My lord told me that there’d be monsters here but, I didn’t expect that there’s be humans as w

    The Day of Attack

The air around raider city is filled with the vile stench of rotting flesh. There is a silence brought about, not by peace and rest, but by the fact that all humans within this city have been killed. Murdered and eaten by the monsters that now occupy it as well. Making it their abode as the war between the newest demon lord is waged against the five kingdoms. In the dead silence of early morn, not even birds have begun to chirp yet. Darkness fills the entirety of the world like a mantle, hiding everything from plain sight. Creating a camouflage for everyone who wants to make it their own – the very same thing that Justus’ soldiers did. They made use of the darkness to continue their advance towards the city. Just as he ordered, he left the nearby village before the first streaks of dawn could be seen. Each and every soldier is already prepared when he called for them; their punctuality being one of the few things that he likes when it comes to his own kingdom.“I don’t want any excess

Khanza is not the only reliable general that’s been deployed for the war. As a matter of fact, every reliable general of every kingdom has been brought out for this war and, one of them is the great tactician – Justus. It is said that, when it comes to creating effective strategies in the battlefield, there is nobody that could match his level. A spectacled adolescent that is looked upon by many as a figure that’s been born in the wrong place. After all, he is a member of the kingdom of Helios.Any praise that may go into his great tactics is non-existent within this kingdom. Other than the craft of forging and, the physical prowess of a person, nothing else matters. Yet that is also the reason why this same general is all the more interesting. He isn’t just all wits. No. General Justus is a strong gladiator as well. Knowing that nobody would ever recognize him if he doesn’t show his might in the battlefield, he continued honing his body. Khanza’s form changed completely. His grayish hair has turned into pitch black. His eyes are filled with nothing but the void. The rest of his body is consumed in flesh, seemingly made from the cursed sword which has its core in the middle of the general’s chest. There is also a tail at his back – a thick one that might be usable for both offense and defense. It’s a demon. There’s not a shadow of a doubt that it’s a demon that Gerant is facing right now. One which has bloodlust outpouring from it as well. Directed towards nobody else but the blood ogre as a deafening screech escaped from the jaws of the beast he has to face.“To think that a general of the north can use Demonification. That’s definitely something I didn’t expect to encounter in this lifetime.” Gerant sarcastically said.“You will pay for your sins with your life!”The monster howled at him with such strength that the blood ogre’s ears almost bled. The sound even touching the parts of his exposed skin violently, as if
