The attack that the alpha fired is caused by the charging up that it did. This isn’t just for show. It’s to prepare for the beam that it’s going to fire. But before the monster released it, the alpha first needed to make sure that its enemy’s dodging ability is out of the way. That’s why it released the surge of purple mana through the howl.Other than forcing its enemy to dodge with the use of a skill, the alpha is actually able to locate where its enemy is as well. Caused by the same howl that provides it with a sort of echolocation tool. One which immediately found Merlin which gave the monster the perfect opportunity to fire its beam.The vicious attack covered the entirety of the area where Merlin reappeared. Unbelievable.That’s the only word that Sylvie can think of that can perfectly describe the situation. Not only did her ally kill the alpha wolf, he also managed to do it while predicting some of the things that will happen. Yes. The last attack that the dark elf used was actually ordered upon her by Merlin.“At the last stretch of the fight, the Alpha will probably be covered in a field of smoke that I created. There’s a chance that it’ll come out to attack me. Wait for it and counter it with your long-ranged slash.” This is what Merlin said…and it came true.The monster did perform this kind of attack. And after it failed, she watched the demon finish the job by closing the gap between him and the monster. All while condensing a heavy amount of mana on the tip of the staff. Not the same type of person that she has traveled with inside the dungeon instance. Other than the fact that it can be used as a training ground, the place can also serve as a means of entertainment. The monsters can go there and watch fights whenever a tournament is held. A way for Merlin to also assess how strong his units are.That’s why he sped up the construction of this place. Finishing it within the couple of days that Teach has been asleep. Just like Sylvie and Gerant, Samira also encountered a general in the battlefield. A very powerful one at that because, this human is also the right-hand man of King Wolfhound. The greatest soldier that’s only second to the king himself. None other than Augustus.The general has already taken down a city and two villages that the monsters of the demon lord has occupied. Thundering crashes continued within Raider city. Earthquakes of some sort that made some of the soldiers and even some of the monsters stop from fighting. The dark elf stood on top of the roof of a building standing just in front of General Justus. Completely alone and unguarded. This might seem like a poor choice on the part of the dark elf but, Justus can feel that the creature is strong enough to leave itself this way.Though this did not stop him from giving an order to nearby archers he placed around the vicinity as well.
