Dirth the shaman is nothing more than a goblin. He thinks of himself as a servant to the manticore Samira and, now, even to the demon lord Merlin. But other than this, he thinks there isn’t anything special about him.
This stems from the fact that he has always compared himself to his master, Samira. With her as the standard, he won’t ever come close to the level he wants to achieve. That’s why he keeps on striving to get stronger. Allowing him to transcend the very limits of his race. Reaching [Level 100] right after the destruction of Genesis City.He could very well be the ruler of all goblins. The one who stands above all of them. But he never thought of this role, nor would it even cross his mind. For him, it is already enough that he’s being of service to those that has enough power to rule the continent. That is his level of vision. This same shaman is currently with his first master – Samira the manticore. TheThe four sovereign monsters. These creatures had command over hundreds and thousands of monsters during the Requiem event where they attempted to take down the city of Genesis. Among there is one who is particularly dangerous. All because of the number of monsters at his disposal. This is none other than [Gerant].An ogre shaman boasting of his high level of [300], there is no way that he can be taken as a joke. Among the four sovereigns, he has the highest firepower. He’s also the one commanding the most units. A six-foot-five blood red ogre who uses blood arts as one of the many means of his spellcasting. That’s right. This bastard makes use of blood in order to conjure despicable spells. Even Merlin himself wasn’t able to figure out how this is done by the monster because, he’s not the one who killed it. And the one who did kept it hidden. Literally. Nobody ever found out who did it. The blood arts was lost to time but, this time around, there is a chance to harvest it. This creat
[Earlier On - Before Samira’s Attack]Gerant sent an advance unit to scout the area ahead of time. The distance between the shaman leader and this scouting group is long enough that Gerant would need two hours of travel time to reach their current location. A good enough gap that ensures that, should the scouts get killed, then at least the rest of them would still be relatively safe.As for how the scouts are reporting to him well, the only thing they need to do is shoot an arrow to the sky. One that’s filled with flammable powder that easily spreads into smoke. This comes in varying colors and, depending on the color of smoke coming out, Gerant will know what his next move would be.This ensures that they won’t encounter any untoward circumstance where they have to fight in a disadvantageous situation. After all, the blood ogre shaman is a tactical monster. Even with all of the power he has at his disposal, he never disregards the need for a plan before entering into combat. Nor doe
[Earlier On - Before Samira’s Attack]Samira knew that things aren’t finished yet. Though she’s a brute who immerses herself in the thrill of the hunt and the battles that follow, she is, in no way, an idiot. Her vast influence over the continent allowed her to collect a couple of enemies along the way. She’s also able to distinguish the followers of these enemies and, the ones she just fought, looks like they’re owned by Gerant.“Dirth.”“Yes my queen.”After dealing with all of them, that’s when Dirth came down to the scene. The goblin shaman didn’t waste any time and went there quickly.“This looks like the coward’s work.” The manticore went to a corpse and examined it closely.“The markings on their face is enough proof my queen.” Dirth said, noticing the markings on the head of the abomination. How the whole of it is painted with red and in the form of a skull. The very symbol of the followers of Gerant the Blood Ogre Shaman.“He’s nearby?” She asked.“Wait. Let me confirm it fir
There’s no other powerup that Gerant can make. This is t. this is his full capacity. Unless more of his followers die, he can’t get any stronger. But he’s not going to do this. He’s not going to sacrifice some of his followers just for the sake of getting stronger. Not because he cares for them but because he thinks there’s no reason to do this.Just with his form right now, he knows that he can already intimidate Samira. In fact, he thinks that she’s already shaking from fear. His blood powers increase in strength when he extracts blood after all. Increasing his stats to such an extent that he transcends normal reasoning. That’s why Samira’s words didn’t make sense.“Is that all?” The manticore asked.“W-What?”“I’m asking if that’s all or, is there something else up your sleeve?” Samira added in a dry tone. As if Gerant hasn’t done anything impressive.“You can’t fool me manticore. You can keep that brave front of yours all you want but we both know that you can’t win against me!” G
There are plenty of reasons as to why Gerant lost to Samira. The first is that he didn’t fight her as seriously as he should. If he sacrificed all of the monsters he brought along with him, then the fight would be more even right from the start. In fact, he has a great chance of overpowering Samira just from doing so.Then there’s the fact that his arrogance continued towards the entirety of the fight. Not using up everything in his arsenal and only releasing around forty percent of what he’s actually capable of. That’s why Samira had an easier time defeating him. In fact, for the manticore, it didn’t even feel like she’s actually fighting one of the three other sovereigns because, the amount of power released by Gerant is so low that she doesn’t even have to rely on her beast form in order to win the fight. She herself isn’t even on her best form since it’s daytime. Yet she finished Gerant in a breeze. But this dissatisfaction of hers quickly found its reasoning as her opponent bega
[Kingdom of Helios – Ten Days Within Merlin’s Hibernation]Elliot is going through hell. Literally, every day he spends inside the king falls nothing short of the category of torture. With the intense physical training to make his body as hard as steel. Followed by combat training using real weapons. Aiming to sharpen his senses by giving him the most lethal of situations. There are times when the wounds are deep. There are times when entire body parts are cut off and he’s left bleeding to death. But all of that is healed and fixed by the medic team of the kingdom that’s just as good. A group that reached a level of expertise because of the number of times they had to heal citizens of their kingdom because, even little kids have the tendency to beat each other up to death. Then there’s the mana training. Elliot is forced to diffuse all of his mana. Draining himself entirely and leaving himself close to fainting. He’s then made to drink a specialized fruit that restores his mana to fu
Elliot immediately swung his axed towards Lazaro. No second thoughts. No hesitation. Just pure rage, placed into one attack that hit nothing but air. Cutting through the wind as the sound of it tearing spread along with the blast that reached the edge of the hall.“Woah, relax will you.” Lazaro said, reappearing at the other end of the room. Completely alive and without any signs of getting hurt from the attack Elliot released. “It’s not like I did it with any ill will or intention.”“YOU!”Elliot has no intention of listening to the lies of the bastard. His mind is already drained form the never-ending cycle of training. He is at his limit without any way to relieve his stress. And all of this pent-up stress of his finally found an outlet because, he finally snapped.“Elliot, come on man, calm down will you?” Lazaro said.“CALM DOWN?!?”Elliot released a large amount of mana that spread across the room. Red and hot just like Samira’s but, more intended and directed. Placed into the w
Elliot escorted Teach to the front of their kingdom, all the way outside. From what his own father said, it is fine for the rest of this day’s training to be skipped altogether. An astonishing command for Elliot who has never gotten any time to rest even during the times when he almost died due to the same training. But now it’s being cancelled just because of Lazaro’s visit. “I should come here more often.” Lazaro said. “It seems like you need me to get some rest.”“Do me a favor and don’t.” Elliot answered.“Ouch. No need to be so grumpy you know.” Lazaro faced the prince of Helios. “I thought we’re already on the same side.”“I don’t know what you did to my father but, whatever it is, I doubt it’s anything good.” Elliot answered. The two of them continued walking down the busy streets of Helios. This is also Elliot’s first time getting out in a while. The fresh air and the change of pacing is a welcome turn for him. He can get used to this but there’s no way his father would allow
