Elliot's Demise

A shadowy figure entered a dimly lit room. The only source of light is the moon’s glow and even this offers but haunting silhouettes of everything that’s within that closed space. A perfect setup for the two individuals who can’t allow themselves to be seen by the light of day.

“How did it go?” The person looking out the window asked.

“Terrific.” Is the sarcastic remark of the second one. “They’re all as crap as I remember them to be.”

“You make it sound like you haven’t even been part of the same group.”

“I was. But then I’m reborn. Now I’m a higher lifeform compared to them.”

“Whatever helps you sleep at night.” The person facing the window simply said. “Now, for the actual answer to my question.”

“The chemical worked like you said it would. They all got paralyzed in a matter of seconds.”

“Wonderful.” The window man said dryly. “And the bait?”
