There was a child.

I could’ve sworn I heard a child saying something to me. I can’t understand it though. The words mixed into a mush that I can’t unbridle. And even this brief moment of clarity is quickly robbed from me as my mind sunk into the void. Unable to surface again.

Merlin moved along the lake inside the forest. The water is as clear as it was in the game or maybe even clearer than that. There’s a certain clarity to it that makes some parts shimmer when touched by sunshine. Merlin likes this because, in the game, water like this is potable. It’s clean. If there is anything that goes in and dirties it, as long as it isn’t to a large extent, the new water will wash away the impurities.

He followed this for a while. About fifteen minutes to be exact. Until he reached a spot where there aren’t as many trees surrounding him. The perfect spot for him to fight his enemies.

“You can come out now.” Merlin said.
