Sylvie’s eyes squinted as she pointed at the item that Merlin’s holding on to.

“What the hell is that?” She said in a questioning tone. As if she already knows the answer but refuses to believe that it is the right one.

“Oh this?” Merlin looked at the staff on his hand. “I got it from my fight yesterday.”

Merlin decided not to show it off when he returned back to the dungeon. He thought that it’d be best to show it to the dark elf the following day because, he also wants to see the kind of reaction she’d be making by seeing it on his hand. And judging by the furrowed brows that have seem to stuck on Sylvie’s face, it’s worth it.

“What fight?” The dark elf asked. “You didn’t mention any kind of fighting to me yesterday.”

“Do I have to?” Merlin replied.

“You know, it doesn’t help that you’re answering my question with another question.” Sylvie said in reply.
