Elliot escorted Teach to the front of their kingdom, all the way outside. From what his own father said, it is fine for the rest of this day’s training to be skipped altogether. An astonishing command for Elliot who has never gotten any time to rest even during the times when he almost died due to the same training. But now it’s being cancelled just because of Lazaro’s visit.

“I should come here more often.” Lazaro said. “It seems like you need me to get some rest.”

“Do me a favor and don’t.” Elliot answered.

“Ouch. No need to be so grumpy you know.” Lazaro faced the prince of Helios. “I thought we’re already on the same side.”

“I don’t know what you did to my father but, whatever it is, I doubt it’s anything good.” Elliot answered.

The two of them continued walking down the busy streets of Helios. This is also Elliot’s first time getting out in a while. The fresh air and the change of pacing is a welcome turn for him. He can get used to this but there’s no way his father would allow
