CHAPTER 22

In the fashion market near the outskirts of the cobra city.

Verella was choosing a pair of clothes for Myles. She had already made him wear over a hundred pairs. Even though the shopkeeper grew angry and frustrated, Myles seemed okay with it.

“This is the last pair, ma’am,” the shopkeeper stressed his words. “If this doesn’t pick your interest, either, there’s nothing else I can offer. I beg your pardon.”

Myles put the new clothes on. They were loose and were of medieval outfit. They seemed to decently fit him, so she barely gave this pair a pass. A blue shirt and cement color pants. He was wearing the same colored-pair when she had first met him, though he was in formal clothing back then. Remembering the past events, she smiled within herself.

And then they moved on to the next store.

Verella bought deodorant bottles and a bag full of flowers and fruits, making Myles wonder what she was up to. He was the one carrying all the things she kept buying in that busy street market.
