CHAPTER 23

Seeing Verella lick Myles’ face shook Rosie to the core. A pulse of aqua energy burst out of her body and destroyed the water ring binding her neck, and hundreds of people in the market fainted; some collapsed to their knees, feeling dizzy. Some vomited. Some peed. Some cried. Some felt water leaving their bodies fast through their pores. Even Justin, who was almost 200ft away, felt vibrations humming through his body, making him feel light-headed and weak at the knees. Even those that were farther than him were affected.

“Rosie! Withdraw your Aqua Field!” Maria yelled. “Are you trying to kill everyone in the market?”

However, Rosie couldn’t hear her mother’s words right now. Her whole concentration was on Verella. “Impending Aqua Crash,” she uttered, and a humongous pillar of water formed high in the air and crashed down like a waterfall and flooded the whole street. It was as if a raging river had flooded. People and even small stores got washed away by the sheer force of the water.
