CHAPTER 24

“You must have run away because you probably heard what the doctor said,” Rosie spoke while carrying Myles and jumping on rooftops fast. “Or maybe your friend revealed the information to you. It’s understandable that you’re depressed, but you don’t have to worry when I’m around. I won’t let you die no matter what.”

Myles couldn’t quite put it together as to what she was talking about, but being cared for by a woman so much almost brought tears to his eyes. He definitely felt better to see her again.

“You really thought you could run away from me, Rosie Waters?” a figure blurred past her and stopped in front of her. It was a half-transformed werewolf. Verella had only transformed her lower half so she could run faster. “Put him down and leave, or I’ll be forced to tear your body apart.” She brought her claws out.

Large flying drones appeared in the sky, with over a dozen mage squads ready to act in those aerial vehicles.
