The whistle wasn't loud because the cat couldn’t put enough strength into blowing the whistle.

“Was it trying to send a warning signal?” Myles grew just a little anxious. He picked up the whistle which was made out of leaves. He crushed it in his hand and tossed it away.

His shoulder wound was mostly healed by now.

“This healing speed isn’t enough,” Myles stealthily walked by covering his feet with vaporous vera, so that even though he was stepping on the grass, it didn’t make any noise.

“I’m getting more and more used to this thing they call ‘vera,’” he mumbled. “I could hear it exciting the cells in my body, making sounds that can be felt through the vibrations inside my body. Every breath is activating the life energy of the blood, so it can be used against all things, physical, mental, and spiritual. If I keep developing it, I’m sure I’ll be able to heal myself with vera instead of depending on the nano healing bots.
