CHAPTER 36

The tree branches broke into the library and destroyed the shelves and everything there. But Myles, Verella, and Justin had already left the library.

They were outside and watching the horror take place right before their eyes. While Verella didn’t show much of a reaction, Justin was terrified by seeing the young students dying left and right. The students in the cobra institute were all preteens, young teens, or teenagers. Seeing them impaled almost froze Justin’s body in dread.

Myles, on the other hand, didn’t like what he was seeing. The cries of the teenagers, every single cry, reached his ears, but he tried not to let their voices touch his heart.

Just then, a ten-year-old was dragged by a branch right before his eyes. Justin was too shook by fear to move, whereas Verella seemed to not care that people were dying, as if she had seen things like this before.
