CHAPTER 37

All the wooden bullets struck Myles, or so it seemed for a second. But the bullets actually stopped millimeters close to Myles.

“What the hell?” Amir got perplexed for a second. The bullets turned around and flew at Amir with triple the speed. He swatted them away with his hand and looked at Myles in surprise. “I see. So you were hiding your strength. Now I believe that you took my son out.” He raised his hand and clenched it. Spiky branches grew all around Myles and tried to impale him from every direction.

Myles jumped into the air and dodged from the deadly attack.

“Got you!” Amir raised his hands, and his fingers extended into branches and shot themselves at the target up in the air. “Ten Snake Threat!”

Like living snakes, the ten branches rose up toward Myles at a great speed. Suddenly, Verella broke free from the forest binding her and slashed her claws at the ten wooden snakes and tore through them with effort.
