Trial Quarters, as its name suggested, was a place where the outsiders would be put through trials to decide if they were worthy to step foot into the wolf city or not.

Myles and the other three were left at the base of a steep cliff, and they weren’t alone. There were a few more survivors of the cobra city that had managed to get there. Both Kong and Sukazu were among them. They were all looking at the large guillotine.

Those who failed to climb the rope and reach the top of the cliff in three attempts were taken to the guillotine and were beheaded then and there. Only the men were killed but the women were taken away into the nearby cave.

The rope was forty feet long. Trying to climb it, some fell midway and broke their limbs or skull because they weren’t wearing any safety gear. They, too, were brought and beheaded the same way.
