Hours later,

~Pant~

~Pant~

Art was covered in sweat while panting profusely. He lay flat on the floor of his room.

With the state of his body, anyone who sees him would conclude that he was going to die at any second. Damn! He even looked like a ghost.

Still, he had an exhausted smile as he stared at the screen in front of him.

[Exercise:

10 km run: incomplete

5 Litres of water:✓

5 kg of food:✓]

Now, he only had to do the 10 km run.

It had taken him over six hours to do all this, and honestly, he didn't think that he was going to make it, but here he was.

He drank more water and rested for some minutes before heading out to the large training field.

He didn't need any help getting to the destination he needed.

Even though he just arrived a day ago, he knew this mansion like the back of his hand.

When he arrived at the large field he could see about 3 people who were doing different sorts of training.

The way they trained wasn't like his former world as they needed a lot of space to do this.

One of them was practicing with a spear and with the way she moved graciously, along with the evening sun rays, was a very beautiful sight.

“I better get to…………” he paused as some memories flooded in causing him to take several steps backwards with widened eyes.

“Not this!” he cursed in annoyance.

It turns out that the former body owner had a big crush on the girl he was looking at but didn't have the courage to approach her due to his low self-esteem.

She didn't come for breakfast this morning which was why this was happening now. Not just her, a total of four didn't show up.

She wasn't like those who mocked him to his face but she looked down on him nevertheless.

Noticing his presence, she looked towards him a little confused.

“Are you okay?”

“Yes,” Art waved dismissively, walking away.

"Hmmm?” She looked at him in confusion.

“These memories are a burden in several ways.” He didn't like what he was feeling at all and knew it would take some time to kill.

These memories were affecting his emotions towards some people.

First Racheal, then those three boys, although he didn't dislike that one, and now this girl whose name is Cait.

After creating enough distance, he focused on the task at hand.

He didn't need to run across the field completely before finishing the quest which showed how big it was.

After taking a deep breath, he began running and some people who watched him from a distance busted into laughter.

Why won't they? The sight was just too funny.

He looked like a hanged cloth flapping with the wind, threatening to be blown away. The worst part being that he wasn't even moving fast.

Art tried his best to push through the wind resistance against him. This level of resistance won't even pose a problem to people from his former world, and here he was, struggling.

From his POV, he looked determined and cool trying his best to push through despite difficulties but that was not the case for others.

Even with him putting his best effort, his speed kept decreasing and after 2 km he couldn't take it anymore and wanted to take a break. That was until he began hearing footsteps from behind which were approaching very quickly.

Looking back, he saw the blue-eyed and silver-haired girl who didn't give any attention to anyone this morning at the dining table.

Her name was Iris and she was the cold type who avoided people. Even the look on her eyes said it all.

She was also considered the strongest among all of them, so even with her beauty, no one tried to approach her for fear of not getting on her bad side.

Well, that was except for one person who they haven't heard from in the past two months after a….umm…..certain incident.

Even the former him was no different.

It pained him to see her who had just started jogging about two minutes ago overtake him. This motivated him to push harder.

He continued running behind her, watching the distance between them increase with every second.

This went on for some time and now he could barely see her. But that was the least of his worries as his body had long exceeded its limits.

He wanted to go on but his body completely froze up as he fell limply to the ground.

He had put his weak body in a tough spot and was now beginning to lose consciousness but he forced himself to stay awake because of the words written on the screen.

[Host has leveled up!]

[Host has leveled up!]

[Host has leveled up!]

[+15 stat points to distribute]

He was surprised that he had crossed 10 km.

He couldn't explain the kind of joy he felt from leveling up.

With a smile on his face, he proceeded to check his stats.

The smile on his face grew wider as he just got over three times his current stats.

Racheal who just arrived in a hurry after seeing him fall stared at him in confusion as she wasn't expecting him to have such an expression.

It was as though he had just found something to turn the tides of a battle to his favour. Unknown to her that she hit the bull’s eye.

“Do you need help?” she walked closer to him.

“Thanks, but no. I'll join you shortly.”

With this said she nodded before walking away, believing that he was pushing himself too hard, but she never expected him to complete a 10 km run, she could hardly believe it.

She wondered if maybe………, just maybe, he might be actually getting better this time.

Art focused back on the screen. He has tested it out on multiple occasions before concluding that he was the only one who could see the golden screen in front of him.

He wondered if the screen and his eye colour being the same was just a coincidence.

That aside, he started distributing the free stat points. He already knew the places he wanted them to go to and when he was done, a feeling washed through his body which was pleasing as he felt more alive.

Now, his status looked like this.

[Name: Art Von Silver

Free stats: 1]

He put more stats into vitality to help his poor body condition and stamina which would help out with his daily quests since he planned on using it to get stronger for now, while leaving one free stat point.

He would’ve put more into vitality but it would be suspicious if he just began to look healthier out of the blue.

He didn’t notice that even though he wasn’t looking healthy, as an average base mage have 10 points in all their stats, he looked much better than before.

The exhaustion he felt some seconds ago was now totally gone as he stood up

Deciding to check his new body out, he began running back to his starting point, which was another 10 km.

Mid-way, he began hearing footsteps once more and tilting his head sideways, he saw Iris with her usual poker face drawing closer before overtaking him again.

If he didn’t know her character from the memories he’d received, he would have believed that she was doing it on purpose.

After some minutes, he finally got to his destination falling to the ground completely exhausted.

He could tell that he wasn’t as drained as before.

After staring at the sky for a long time, with many thoughts about his past life and former family wondering how they took his death and what was going on now, he got strong enough to stand up and walk into the mansion headed straight for his room.

He was looking forward to dinner.

The people who were laughing at him earlier kept staring in surprise with a similar thought going through their heads.

‘Did he just complete a 20 km run?’

The ride wasn't a long one and they were now in a forest which was of course within the range they were allowed to go. Just as he anticipated, Racheal had brought him to this part of the forest which was mostly filled with a certain F-rank agility base beast. Beasts were separated into two classes. Normal and Magical. Magical unlike normal beasts could use mana and magic attributes, they also possessed mana cores just like humans. Mana cores were very important as almost everything runs with mana and they served like a battery. Both classes of beasts followed the same ranking. F-Rank E-Rank D-Rank C-Rank B-Rank A-Rank S-Rank S+ Rank Lesser beasts were from F to A-rank with A-rank and below being greater beasts. The cores produced by magical beasts also followed the same ranking. So this place was filled with the lowest rank of beasts but it was still too risky for someone like him. They both came out of the vehicle before glancing around. It seemed like they wer

His eyes were filled with wariness as he approached the wolf beast. He monitored every inch of its body to predict its movements which would cover up for his lack of speed. If he didn’t have all this training from his former world, his chances of victory would be nearly impossible but he did, which increased his probability of coming out victorious to 40 percent and this depended on his first attack, so he didn't plan on messing it up.This scenario reminded him of a time in his previous life when he had to defend himself from a crazy dog using a piece of broken glass and he emerged victorious with some injuries, most of which were caused by the weapon he used. Even though the weapon he wielded now was much better than any he had ever come across, this situation was worse than then.Racheal watched in worry as they both inched closer to each other with her heart racing and when they reached 10 meters apart, they both lunged forward. Art hasn’t been sitting down and leaving everything to her all this time. He had tried to distribute the stats he just received but much to his disappointment, the system didn’t permit him as his body was too weak to handle the kind of boost he was about to give it This was the last card he had but watching Racheal as she used magic reminded him of what happened when he, or better put, the former body owner saved the girl.Simply put, he could use magic.Although doing this was very risky, not doing anything was even riskier. He mustered as much strength as he could to stand up, before walking towards Rachael in the straight line from her to him which was water balls free. Somewhere in a forest where the rhythmic chirping of birds along with the rustling of the leaves of trees caused by the pure fresh breeze which together could put just anyone in a trance, a figure was seated cross-legged while staring into the skies. The journey to the mansion took him about 40 minutes, so he had 20 minutes left before the announcement and he needed a shower. There wasn’t anyone outside as this was still early in the afternoon with most of them being either in their room or the underground training arena.Oh! Forgot to mention that. There was a large training arena below the mansion where real training and sparring happened. The field on the outside was mostly for exercising and light training if the person wanted to do it outside. Art was yet to go there since he arrived in this world and he planned to do that soon. He walked into the mansion with a lot on his mind. He knew that he couldn’t depend on mana for now so he had to exercise the abilities of the Silvers to the fullest. He was thankful that he wasn’t born into a family that derived all their strength from the use of magic, or else he would’ve been doomed for having his mana core locked. “Greetings, Lord Gajeel,” the voiced out in unison while standing up with a bow.Art found this weird, but he had to do it. It was a sign of respect shown to senior members of the family and this wasn’t just done by the Silvers. Lord Gajeel didn’t usually meddle in their personal affairs. His job was just to observe, guide and pass on information to them. He let them do anything they pleased as long as it didn’t affect the few rules put on them. “Hahaha! It took Caitlyn even longer than expected to find Valor.Back in the dream, the fox had told her to find him. She was pretty sure it had been referring to Valor—after all, he was the only male soul summoner in the entire school.Ultimately, she found him seated alone in a secluded building, his posture slumped, a defeated expression clouding his face.Well, considering he had actually been defeated two days ago, it wasn’t all that surprising. He was so lost in thought that he only noticed her when she got very close. His gaze shifted toward her, his brows furrowing. "Who are you?" he asked, frowning."Uh—sorry to bother you. My name is Caitlyn Slerh. I'm a summoner, also in the first year." She figured he wouldn’t recognize her since he rarely attended classes. "I’d like you to help me with summoning magic.""You’ve really got some nerve," he scoffed. "Leave before I get any angrier.""I'm sorry, but I can't do that. I need to tackle my problem if I want to keep up with him. Please he

Shallow breaths escaped along with gasps as the darkness around a girl twisted into a white landscape. She stood at the center of the brightly lit scenery, a thick white mist curling around her ankles. It felt both cold and hot at the same time.Faint echoes of whispers drifted from the distance beyond.Suddenly, a deep growl rumbled through the air.Her body tensed as she slowly turned. And there it stood before her—a towering nine-tailed fox with gleaming white fur. Its crimson eyes burned like embers, and each of its nine tails swayed along with the wind. She tried to step back, but she found herself unable to move. The fox advanced, its massive paws making no sound as it circled her."Why are you scared?" A soft, layered feminine voice slithered through her mind. Her eyes widened, her breathing becoming faster and more labored."W-Who are you?" she barely managed to whisper."I am the one you freed and saved. *Pant**Pant**Pant*Art slowly brought his breathing under control. He had been so close to dying once again. He placed a hand on his damp, bloodied chest. He had managed to escape by using the space swap attribute he copied to switch places with the clone he left in the forest. Normally, the space swap attribute didn’t work over such long distances, but it works specially well with the clone attribute since the clone carried the same mana signature as him. So, It was successful—though at an immense cost. The technique had drained a large amount of his mana, leaving his MP low. He had also timed it as perfectly as he could, but she had been too fast, managing to partially pierce him before the switch. If he had been even an instant slower, he would be dead by now."I need to leave," he muttered, pushing himself up and staggering away. Art carefully navigated the forest, mindful not to lose his way.He had planned ahead before now, placing the teleportation circle in a spot that would make this journey easier. After a few minutes, he arrived at the area where he had once fought seventeen D-rank beasts. Much of the mess had been covered by vegetation and nature, but the site was still recognizable.A good sign—he was on the right track. Before long, he reached the stream where he and Asura had fought. It was just as beautiful as before, though he had no time to admire it.‘I believe it was there.’ His gaze settled on the tree where she had told him to meet her. Seated beside her was a black-haired boy with a scarred cheek."You're telling me he's gotten that strong in just a few months?" Karen, the number one Elite, asked, his tone laced with curiosity."Yep. I saw it myself. Not only can he use the Silver special arts, but he also wields rune magic decently well. Honestly? I’m not even sure who's stronger between us." "You wish! Don't think you'll just have your way. This isn't over yet!" Valor spat. "Go!"His C-rank summon charged at Art once more, its sheer presence pressing down on the spectators. Many students shifted uncomfortably in their seats, intimidated by its raw power. But Art? He didn’t even move. The summon closed in fast, one of its heated appendages whipping forward, aiming straight for Art’s forehead.About two months ago, back during the raid, this attack would have seemed overwhelmingly fast. But now?It was nothing.Casually, Art stretched out his blackened right arm, catching the appendage mid-strike—right at its burning hot-spot.A scream echoed across the arena. But it wasn’t from Art.The beast recoiled in agony, thrashing wildly. It lashed out with its second appendage, but Art dodged effortlessly, then twisted his grip and slammed the creature into the ground. • The Beauty of Power

The C-rank summon charged forward furiously.Just by running, its paws and claws left deep marks on the ground. Many students watching were disturbed by its presence. To think Valor would summon something this powerful for just a spar—it was absurd. But despite its ferocity, the beast only showed interest in Art, proving that Valor had complete control over it.The summon was a four-limbed creature resembling a massive hound, but it had two additional appendages sprouting from its back. These thick, tail-like structures ended in razor-sharp points, radiating immense heat. A strike from them wouldn’t just cut—it would sear flesh instantly.Art steadied his stance, his true weapon shifting into a long spear as he faced both the beast and its summoner. Valor smirked, gripping his short sword tightly as he advanced in tandem with his summon. The beast lunged first, its molten tails whipping toward Art with deadly speed. He dodged, pivoting on his heel to evade the searing strikes. Counter
