He’s Doing It

They reached the ICU, the sterile smell of disinfectant filling the air as Calvin followed Mrs. Mitchell down the quiet, dimly lit corridor. She led him to a private room where her son lay, surrounded by beeping monitors and various medical equipment. The boy looked frail and pale, his small body barely making an impression on the bed. His chest rose and fell shallowly, each breath a laborious effort.

Calvin glanced at Mrs. Mitchell, who gave him a nod of encouragement. Her eyes were wide with fear and hope, and her hands trembled as she clasped them together. Taking a deep breath, Calvin stepped forward, feeling the familiar tingling sensation in his hands, a sign that his healing power was ready to be used.

As he approached the boy, Calvin's face hardened with determination. He had to save him. Gently placing his hands over the child's body, he began to focus, channeling all his energy and expertise into diagnosing the boy's condition.
