Chapter 12: Mal Organization (1)

When the dark covered the whole town, no lights can see in each house, only knights that are patrolling holding a steel small staff and at the edge of it is a fire that maintain the lights to their surroundings. Amidst of the blue moon and stars that flickering at the sky; there are three people wearing in black cloak running and leaping each roof. No Knights manage to notice the appearance of the three people, these three cloaked people sneakily goes to the slum part.

they landed at the ground silently, each step they make didn't manage to wake up the beggars sleeping surrounding them, their step doesn't have a sound. They continue to walk while disregarding the beggars looking at them who's still awake, there was a child who came towards them, the child is too dirty, there was a dirt in his face and he looks like a walking skeleton because he was so thin, while rubbing his stomach due to starvation; he raises his left hand as if he was asking for help or food.

the three cloaked people looked at him, one of the cloak people, who is taller and has a muscular body that looks like a big guy who has a height of 184 cm slowly walk to the child, he stretches his right arm towards the child but before the person in cloak reach the neck of the child, one of the cloaked people stopped him by grabbing his wrist.

the man in cloak pulled his arm and stepped back while the person who stopped the man get closed to the child. The cloaked person has a height of 156 cm.

'he's so thin, probably he hasn't eaten for about 4 days, if this continues, he might die on starvation…'

“what's your name?”

the child widens his eye because the person in cloak produces a voice of a female, her voice was too cold yet gentle. The child couldn't speak but he was thinking that the lady in front of him was too beautiful, due to his small height he could see the face of the lady in front of him even if it’s night he still clearly saw her face. Chestnut hair, pink lips that almost look red, sharp nose, long beautiful sharp curly eyelashes, almond eyes and an amethyst eye, the lady in front of him looks cold because of her face that doesn't express anything.

the child doesn’t know what to do; fearing that he stumbles to a wrong people, he begun trembling and couldn't speak.

“… sigh…”

The lady sighed on herself, she lowered her body to have a same height of the child and she gives the child a beautiful smile, she didn't notice that the child slightly blush; he was mesmerized by the smile she gives.

she looks at the child carefully, she notices that the child has a burnt mark on his arm, and an injury to his left legs, he was tattered on clothes and he was too thin, green hair, and a pale green eye, she could see that the eyes of the child is slowly turning blur, she could see that the child was really hungry and was about to give up.

'… just like me…'

she strokes the child but the child couldn't maintain his balance after all he was too weak to move, he just force himself hoping to have a food. Even though the world they live have a bit of modern technology, it still couldn't prevent a case something like this, it’s only a technology where you can use for living; not a technology or anything that use for how to live.

suddenly, in her palm appeared a large hole, a force of wind forcefully pulling the child to that hole, the child couldn't maintain his balance and was swallowed by the hole, it was like a suction of a vacuum.

the beggars who witness the scene widens their eyes, then a sweat form to their face, the cloak man in the left who has a height of 171 cm glared at each of them giving a massive aura of killing intent, they choked their breath due to that, not long after the killing intent slowly fading and then the man wave his hand and all of the beggars that are awake was forcefully fell asleep, once they woke up, they won't remember anything.

not long after, the lady in cloak stands up and response as if nothing happens. They continued to walk in the deepest part of the slum.

In each broken house there was a part of a house that looks like a bar that has a two story can be seen, loud noise can be heard outside as if there was a celebration, this is the place where mercenaries, killers etc. gathered at the bar.

the three-cloaked people open the door of the bar, the lady in cloak went inside first. They didn't mind those people who were happily drinking beer, having an arm wrestling, and some who are glaring at them, they just went straight to the bartender.

The bartender is wearing a white long sleeve and a black vest, red necktie, he has a normal physical body, his age was around 30's, brown hair with a style of comb-over. He is wearing an eye-glass, his eyes were also brown. He was wiping the guest table but then stop when he notices that there were three cloak people are coming towards him.

“Welcome to my bar, Targlia. how may I help the three of you?”

ask by the bartender who's also seems like the owner of the bar, he gave a gentleman smile fitting to be a bartender.

“We would like a wine.”

asked by the lady in cloak.

“What kind of wine may it be?”

said by the bartender has he place his palms to the table.

“A red wine which is the color of a rose.”

the bartender twitches his left eyebrow, he took a wine glass and begin pouring it with a red wine.

“Is this perhaps the wine you’re talking too?”

“No, it's a kind of wine that has the same color of a rose that looks like a blood.”

the bartender quickly drinks the red wine, he gulfed it down, for a few seconds he heaves a sigh. He stared at the three piercely.

“A wine that has a color of a rose yet a blood, what may it be?”

the Lady in cloak nodded her head, and cross her arms. She sat at the chair and held the red wine glass while staring at it. She crossed her legs and then look at the bartender.

“a wine that contains blood, Tortoise Blood Cocktail.”

“I see…”

the bartender nodded and stop looking at the three cloaked people, he clasps his hands six times and all those who are drinking celebrating, looked at him and then nodded. They close the door and windows and they line up perfectly.

“Which floor will you go?”

ask by the bartender.

the lady in cloak kept silent for a few seconds then she put the wine in the guest table and the nodded.

“to the 5th floor, Mal Org.

The surroundings turn silent but the three cloaked people was just waiting at the bartender not minding the atmosphere

“ I'm sorry for being rude but…”

the bartender suddenly took a dagger and place it onto the table in front of the three cloaked people then he took off his eye-glasses and put it on his pocket.

“I would like to know the 'code' of the three of you.”

the two cloaked people who was next beside to the lady in cloak looked at each other and introduce themselves. The one who begun to speak is the tallest of the two.

“Bolke”

The tall man removes the hood that hiding his face, it was a face of a man who has seen many death, eye-bags, pale green eyes, bald and a bulky body that it will bulge if he used some force. The next was next beside of bloke. He also removes his hood.

“Black swan”

It was a handsome man wearing a black eye-glasses with trimmed blue hair that it touches his shoulder, he looks like a scholar who choose to go to an adventure to learn more, he looks like a weak person but the others and the bartender knows that this person is not ordinary.

the bartender then looks at the lady who's sitting, he carefully looks at the cloak person who's sitting, the bartender knows that the person in front of him aren't ordinary, more so. A person who has a higher position. Despite knowing this, he still asks their code name, not because he is doubting them but he was just making it sure and it's a part of the rules.

“… Do I also need to introduce myself?”

the bartender notice that this was the first time that the lady in front of him came here, his eyebrow raises a little which is unnoticeable. He disregards the idea on disrespecting the person in front of him.

“I'm afraid that you also need to introduce yourself miss, even those who have a higher position also need to fill their name here, especially if it's your first time coming here.”

The lady nodded in silent, after a few seconds she open her mouth, she places her hand; to her chest.

“... Jade…”

The bartender slightly opens his eyes in astonishment, he thanked himself, he didn't put a pressure on jade. He was curious to the young lady in front of him, He came back to his gentle face again.

“I see, I'm sorry if I'm being rude but it's part of the rules that need to contain in this area.”

bolke, black swan, didn't speak nor any response they are quite rude and arrogant, that's what the bartender can tell.

' This kind of people who die early in the battle, even if they're strong they will still be killed by weaker than them'

if he wants to, he can kill the two in front of him but if he fought with jade, he was sure it will become troublesome in each part.

Jade nodded at him then she stands up ang look at the bartender. Understanding the meaning behind her look the bartender nodded.

“Please follow me…”

The bartender walked out and go to somewhere, jade and the two followed him, Bolke and Black swan look at each other and whisper at jade.

“Miss who is that person? He sure has a gut, should I kill him?”

“Swan… count me in.”

Bolke tapped his shoulder saying as he said those words, Jade didn't reply on their idea. Jade knows well that the person they want to kill is strong, stronger than Regorie.

'Try it and you'll know the consequences.'

Jade thought to herself, on the other hand, unbeknownst to them. The bartender can hear the two murmurs but he just discards it. However, he was smiling, he was thinking while walking. 

not long after, they reach a certain door, an antique door but despite on its appearance it was hard and you can't destroy it easily. Beside of the door was a candle light, the bartender stopped there and look at jade.

“This way, just go straight at the end of the way, you'll see a iron door it needs a drop of blood to enter… may Aluxio bless you…”

jade and the two enter the door and walk downstairs, they walk until they moved into 2nd floor, they can hear loud voice that has a mix emotion, agony, happiness, etc. it was a gambling area, this is the place were nobles gambling to the fullest, when they reach the 3rd floor, they heard a person like he was entertaining some guest.

“Ladies & Gentlemen does your….”

It was an auction area where any kind of product could see, slaves, curse swords, antique of an ancient empire etc. next is the 4th floor, they can hear a loud cheer and the sound of a fight, it was an underground battle, they went further into the deepest part and saw the door.

Jade remembers what the bartender said to enter the door.

' I just need a drop of blood to confirm my identity… but how?'

jade look everywhere but she didn't say anything related thing, an item that will be used to take some a bit of blood, not until she looked up and saw a lead hanging, it’s quite high for jade.

she stretches her arm high to reach the lead but to no avail, she couldn't reach it.

hop! Hop! Hop! Hop!

she tried to hop four times while she was struggling to reach it.

“Huff… huff… huff… hmmp!”

again… she started to hop again, the two couldn't take it anymore, for them her action is just too cute. They remember that she was still only 15 years old and she was quite small for her age but they find it cute that's why even them who was a killer can't help but to dote on this person who was hopping.

“hai hai miss, let me do the honor…”

Bolke couldn't help himself and reach the lead for jade. He held the lead and push it.

“There you go missy!”

he looks at jade, he saw it a pretty young girl pouting at him with a little teary eye while both her arms were on her waist gripping and she was stamping the ground in a cute way.

Bolke and Black swan couldn't help but smirked, they really found the miss they were serving as a cute young girl, she looks innocent in this state.

“…nrrnn…”

she gritted her teeth but soon after, she cools her head. Her face became expressionless again, the two couldn't help the fact that they want to dote on her, they don't know what her past but for them, they want to support the young girl in front of them.

when the lead was push down by Bolke the door open and inside of it was a table, in the table there was a finger size needle and a tray, at the center of the tray was an insignia of a dragon head.

jade knew this, but she hesitated…

'isn't this quite big…?'

she looked at the needle in front of her, it was big a middle finger size needle which is much scarier than a sword for her.

She shook her head and took the needle and stab her finger a bit. It's really hurt for her; the sharp tip of the needle stabbed her finger and then when the blood that was dropped hit the insignia. The dragon head insignia light up in a red ray of light then the ground started to shook, in front of them, the ground started to open and shows a downstairs.

Jade sucked her finger that was still bleeding while walking downstairs.

not long after she saw another iron door but this time it opens automatically, there inside of it was a round table with 10 beautiful chairs that was made in oak wood with a red couch. She saw a man who's around 27 years old wearing a butler clothes, she smiles a little and call his name

“… Darwin”

“? Ah Jain you're here… everyone was on their way we just had to wait a bit.”

not long after the short conversation, a person suddenly opens the door and butted in to the conversation of Jain and Darwin.

the person suddenly lay his arm to Jain's shoulder. Jain, groan she doesn't like the feeling on someone laying their arms on her but then she was suddenly hugged by this person.

“Hi honeyyy~~~, sweeitteee I miss youuu!!!”

“gnn… kusnov….”

it was a man that has a heart of a woman, kusnov. Dark-purple hair, purple eyes, he has the atmosphere of wholesomeness, tan-skin, his height is 171 cm, 21 years old. He was wearing a light purple long sleeve and a jean. His long sleeve was unbuttoned, you could see his chest. His long sleeve has a design of lavender color flower, he looks like a person who just go to vacation.

- oh, kusnov nice meeting you, now we just need to wait the others-

“I'm sorry Darwinie but that would be impossible~”

“What do you mean?”

Jain said while frowning, she doesn't hate Kusnov but she just doesn't like how he act, it's hard for her to deal someone like him.

In short, they were opposite.

Kusnov looked at Jain and smile, he lay his left hand to his waist and laugh.

“Nyohohohoho, you see Janie, my sweetie.

They just don't want to have a meeting like this, they said that. "Just deliver the letter and what was the situation." Or "too tired… I wanna sleep just deliver it…"

Darwin couldn't help but scratch his hair and laugh a little.

Jain was disappointed, she put an effort on coming here but this is what happen.

' I want to sleep too…'

She just came because Darwin asks her to come here.

She can also decline but she doesn't want that, she doesn’t want to reject the person who gave her a life.

“Well, it's not that important but I guess it's fine.”

“eeh ehh? If it’s not important then whyyy Darwinie~~~”

Kusnov said as he still hugging Jain, while Jain didn't react but a bit irritated.

' I hadn't eaten my pizza yet…'

“Well, you guys are here so I should tell it now… Kusnov, Brolke, Swane, and… Jain.”

This was their true name except to Kusnov who use his real name as a code, all of the members were hiding their real name only who's one of those in a high position knows their real name.

“The son of The Marquess, the heir of the house of Evans is… dead.”

“I see… Darwinie that's rid…EHH!?”

Kusnov was act like he was surprised by the sudden statement; he just didn't care about it. He tightly hugged Jain; Jain couldn't breathe that's why she keeps hitting Kusnov in the shoulder by her fist.

“C-can't…. breath...ugugu…”

“Ah! I'm sorry sweetie I Was just shock!”

of course not, he just made a reason to hug Jain.

Jain glared at Kusnov, she almost lost her breath because of his arms, he might be a woman in heart but he still has the body and physical strength of a man.

As Kusnov saw Jain glaring at him while pouting, he just finds this cute. A little wild cat, so wild that it might hurt you. Just like the others he also wants to dote on Jain.

He remembers the time when they saw Jain walking helplessly, a frail body with a shallow eye, she was so thin back then.

When Kusnov saw Jain at that situation, he doesn't know what he could feel. He was confused

' This is life, it's a matter of luck if you born differently'

he was cold but even still, he can't help but kept looking at Jain. That's when Darwin walked towards Jain, Kusnov saw the expression of Darwin back then.

He felt chill when he saw the expression of Darwin even now at the present.

He knew that Darwin can find talented people but what is it in his mind that day? The day they met Jain?

Kusnov has no way of knowing and he doesn't want to know.

“Well, it looks like our plan will happen a bit early than we expected.”

as Darwin continue to speak Kain on the other hand was keeping herself silent listening to him while kusnov was thinking about something… something that will let Jain get out of here.

“… and That's the plan, well, nothing changes just like what I said it our plan will happen early that we had anticipated… for the greater good…”
