Chapter [005] — HE CANNOT AFFORD A MEAL

Caspian whispered urgently to Lady Ciara, "Gotta keep my identity hidden. Nobody should know who I'm."

Gasping for breath, he rushed to Lady Ciara. "Miss, please cancel the party. It's crucial that my identity remains a secret. Our conversations should be just between us, alright?"

Lady Ciara's jaw dropped, her face flushed, as she seemed to search the ground for something.

Reassuringly, Lady Ciara said, "Don't worry, my team and I can ensure your safety. I'm not afraid of any adversaries, Master."

Caspian hissed softly under his breath.

"Listen up! Just follow my lead. I don't mind being heavily guarded. I'm not a child, and you might not understand my intentions," he declared passionately.

"Understood."

Lady Ciara waved her hand dismissively. "See you later, Master."

"I'll be visiting my dad as well," Caspian announced.

"Alright, it's fine. These are Nox and Scorpion; they're here to protect you," she said as Nox and Scorpion bowed to Caspian.

Caspian questioned, "Do I really need a group of bodyguards?"

Lady Ciara chuckled. "Yes, you do. It's a sign of respect and places you among the elite."

Caspian sighed. "Well, I don't need a large entourage. They're just causing me trouble."

"Each of you, please leave," Caspian ordered, and his men promptly complied.

"Thank you, and have a good night," he warmly bid farewell to Lady Ciara as she gracefully departed, leaving him to savor the moment.

Taking a deep breath, he looked up at the magnificent 20-story architectural masterpiece, illuminated by the captivating 'Synergie Hotel and Resort' sign.

"I'm going to spend the night in this hotel," he mused to himself.

In the opulent lobby, Caspian felt out of place amid judgmental glances. He approached the reception desk to book a room for the night. Inside the office, he was surprised to see Arthur and Diana entering ahead of him.

As a courteous girl led Arthur and Diana to the elevator, Caspian briefly noticed a charming woman but quickly redirected his attention to his task.

A high-pitched voice nearby taunted, "The loser is back. I'll take care of him."

Caspian recognized it as Arthur's voice but remained unfazed.

Caspian narrowed his eyes and asked, "Is this a luxury hotel?" The receptionist burst into laughter, and those around her joined in.

"I'd like to reserve a room," he started, but was swiftly interrupted.

"All rooms are fully booked," she replied, leaving Caspian perplexed.

"How can you let someone in and claim there are no rooms available?" Caspian muttered, growing frustrated.

"I doubt he can afford even the smallest meal here. Look at those rags he's wearing," someone in the crowd jeered, inciting laughter.

"Nox angrily shouted, 'Shut your mouth! How dare you speak to him like that?'" Caspian intervened, preventing Nox from taking further action.

Caspian told Nox and Scorpion, "Don't lay your hands on anyone."

Caspian sternly confronted the receptionist, "You have the audacity to speak up only if I ask you to cover my expenses."

Insults and curses followed from the onlookers.

The receptionist threatened, "I'll call the police, claiming you're trying to commit a crime." She reached for the telephone.

Caspian defiantly responded, "Go ahead. I won't beg you."

"Feel free to do whatever you think is right," he added.

Nora stepped forward, declaring, "Let Master Caspian in! Are you all crazy? I'm reporting this to the hotel manager. Didn't you realize he's the owner of this hotel?" Her words silenced the room, and she approached Caspian, wearing a warm smile, determined to make amends.

Caspian's stern expression struck fear into those who had mocked him. Some fled, while others covered their faces to avoid identification.

"Sir, I couldn't help but notice you've been treated unfairly. I apologize," Nora said empathetically.

"Um! Sorry, I didn't recognize you, Master," the receptionist mumbled, kneeling down in apology.

Caspian ignored her, instead asking, "Nora, is there anything else?"

Nora pointed to a VR screen on the table displaying package options. "Our hotel offers a premium service called the 'Ultimate Experience.' It's the most expensive package, granting access to the most luxurious suites. If you're willing to pay for it, they'll provide you a room without hesitation."

Eager to enjoy the luxury he desired, he agreed to book the 'Ultimate Experience' package.

Nora handed him a fancy plastic card with a four-digit code. "Please use this card for room 580. It's the key to access our high-end rooms."

Frowning, Caspian took out his phone, opened his bank app, and initiated a transfer to cover his bill.

"Sent," Caspian told the receptionist once the transaction was complete.

"Seen, sir," the receptionist replied, her tone still shaky.

Leaving the reception area, Caspian entered the lavish suite, his earlier doubts now dispelled. The room was a paradise, with stunning views, opulent furnishings, and top-notch amenities, a stark contrast to the earlier challenges.

As he gazed out the window, Caspian marveled at the hotel's splendor. Gourmet restaurants, exclusive spas, private beaches, a private airport, and a helicopter pad - it was pure luxury, sprawled across nearly a hundred acres of land.
