Chapter [004] — MASTER STEELE'S FORTUNE

"Y-yeah, I'm doing just fine. But my parents are dead, and... I never knew myself to be the Master." Caspian's jaws dropped in astonishment, his words shaking.

"You got lucky. Your parents had been looking for you to become the next heir to the family," the lady said sympathetically before looking at him from head to toe.

"Are you sure I'm the person you are looking at?" Caspian narrowed his eyes.

She nodded, "Exactly!"

"Your dad, Gerald, is still alive," she admitted, trying to convince him. Caspian blinked, at a loss for words.

"I think that might just be his phantom," he replied.

"Gerald Williams, in his septuagenarian age, is one of the most influential and flirty billionaires that controls the world economy."

"The business subsidiaries he owns cover a wide range of industries, such as oil and energy, the Internet, entertainment and tourism, logistics, luxuries, manufacturing, real estate, and finance. His assets exceed a mind-boggling $5 trillion, with a net worth of over half a trillion." She explained to him.

"Oh my God!" Caspian's jaws parted, disbelieving his father's wealth.

"I've always seen the name Gerald Williams on the Forbes billionaire list, but why is he not using Steele as his surname?" Caspian said inquisitively.

"You should ask your father. I can't answer that," she smiled a grin.

"Your bank account has been unlocked and credited with 10,000,000,000 dollars. Have you received an alert?" the lady exclaimed. Caspian's anger flared as he remembered his phone was with Diana. He clenched his fist, seething with frustration.

"Is that true? I don't have a phone." Caspian's eyebrows shot heavenward in shock at the massive amount of money.

"Are you joking?" she frowned, clearly displeased. After sifting through her handbag, she retrieved her phone and showed him the transaction receipt.

'Counting: one, two, three….ten–'

Caspian let out a big sigh of relief. When he saw that the zeros were complete, he hid his smile even though his stomach felt uneasy. It felt like he had hit a jackpot that made him a fortune in just a minute.

When Caspian was 10, some mean mafia guys kidnapped his parents. He couldn't pay the big money they wanted, so he thought they killed his parents. He felt like an orphan. Even when he married Diana, he didn't know if his parents were alive.

"Oh, don't forget these are yours," she reminded Caspian. In the next moment, the lady handed two diamond necklaces to Caspian. As he placed them around his neck, a jolt coursed through his nerves. He felt as if he were embodied, infusing these seemingly ordinary necklaces with a newfound power.

"Master Caspian, I'd like to invite you to a party where we will proclaim your role as the new heir of Steele's dynasty. Once again, I'm congratulating you for the new position." She offered her hand for another handshake, and Caspian nodded in agreement.

"Sorry, uh, please what's your name?" he asked, finally posing the question he had been holding onto since they met.

“Nebulon Conglomerates' Lady Ciara, a Chief Director of Operations."

"It has been nice meeting you,"

"Today's lucky win has left me stunned." Caspian expressed, feeling the weight of it all.

"This phone is for you," Lady Ciara gifted Caspian a stunning, custom-made Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5a, complete with a dazzling golden-plated finish! The phone was freshly picked up from one of the men standing beside her, adding an air of excitement to the moment.

But that's not all! In addition to the luxurious phone, Lady Ciara also bestowed upon Caspian a pair of exquisite sapphire Crystal Key Fobs, perfect for his fancy Aston Martin DB9.

"The time's 11 pm. Feeling lightheaded. Need to rest, Master Caspian. Can't tell you what you need to know," Lady Ciara checked her silver-coated wristwatch.

Caspian could also see that she was somehow sleepy.

"So you?" She chuckled swiftly, one side of her cheek lifting in a quick grin.

“Uh-oh, I'm experiencing a state of blissful reverie where every moment is overwhelmingly delightful.”

Caspian was taken aback. "You said there's even more? Please explain," he requested, feeling like he was in a fantastical dream.

"What you've heard is just a fraction. Your father's given you an expensive villa on a private island owned by the Steele family and fleets of yachts," Lady Ciara muttered.

Caspian was just like, "Wow!"

Lady Ciara added, "Come to the heir announcement party. Your ex-wife can come along with you,"

Caspian's face turned smug as he confessed, "No, divorced, want nothing to do with her."

Caspian was spooked, wondering how she found out about his wife.

Lady Ciara was surprised. "Huh?"

Caspian whispered urgently to Lady Ciara, "Gotta keep my identity hidden. Nobody should know who I'm."
