Chapter [003]—DIVORCE

A sigh of exasperation escaped Caspian as he glanced at the divorce agreement, his shock clear.

"Yes," she replied firmly, causing a deep ache in his heart.

"Is this how you plan to repay me, despite the vows we exchanged during our marriage?" Caspian asserted.

His shattered heart and bewildered mind wrestled with the pain inflicted by the person he had once been obsessed with. Deep down, he suspected that Arthur had tainted Diana's perception of him.

Diana, with determination in her voice, addressed Caspian, "Here are the divorce papers. I'm ready to proceed with the process. Can you review and sign the agreement now?"

"Kidding?" Caspian's body jolted with shock.

"No," she replied bluntly.

Caspian's eyes welled up with tears as he slowly picked up the pen, struggling to accept the way everything was unraveling due to overwhelming emotions.

She snorted, smirked, and demanded, "Just do it now!"

Before even touching the document, his tears had already dampened it. First, Caspian signed, and then Diana followed.

Diana took the papers and continued, "You accused me of infidelity, but with your active social life, is it possible that you are not engaging in flirtatious behavior with other women?"

"So you didn't trust me," Caspian whimpered, reaching for her arm to ensure eye contact.

"Maybe," Diana hummed, her body language resistant.

Diana shook her head, her lips pouting with anger. "This marriage is joyless, I swear. No dedicated time for each other; you work long hours, from early morning till late at night."

"It's killing my sexual urges," Diana added.

"I can't believe you deceived me into this faux marriage," Diana taunted, her tone aggressive.

"We never had a fake marriage. Think about it; how could it have lasted this long?"

"Mmmph. There is a lot to say, but I'm keeping that to myself," spat Diana.

Diana approached Caspian, her voice dripping with authority. "Remember, you are a talented man with little wealth. I picked you from obscurity..."

Caspian, however, refused to be humiliated, defiantly crossing his arms.

Unyielding, Diana continued her tirade, her eyes fixed on the ground. "I need a man who can match my status and ambition, who can be eye-candy by my side," she declared, her shoulders shrugging, then snatched Caspian's phone.

"I bought this phone for you, spent £1500," Diana sneered. "You used it to invade my privacy, monitoring my every move," she said in a croaky tone.

"You have to leave this house now. I already have a new lover," Diana commanded him.

"I'm leaving now," Caspian confessed, wiping away tears from his face. He shot Arthur a stern look, instructing his henchmen to escort Caspian out.

"Get lost, loser. Soon, he'll scramble for another job," Arthur snarled, but Caspian remained unfazed.

"I'm not a loser. Unlike you, I'm not a foolish, vainglorious buffoon controlled by my ego."

Persistent, Arthur sneered, "Well, tell me, what have you achieved in this life? Is it a fortune, power, or influence?"

"Take this damn brat out of here!" he yelled. Strong hands forcefully grabbed Caspian's arms, and he was forcibly ejected by Arthur's henchmen.

Caspian Steele walked the street, penniless. He sat by the roadside, watching passing vehicles, tears flowing. Despite trying to stop, his crying only intensified.

Still contemplating where he would sleep that night, Caspian approached an elegant, middle-aged woman with gray, curly hair that defied her youthful appearance.

Her piercing, moss-green eyes stopped Caspian in his tracks as she addressed him, "Hello, Young Master Steele. You are welcome…"

"I hope you are doing well, huh? I'm happy to inform you that you are the rightful heir to the Steele family," she stated, her expression cold, yet a smile playing on her lips. She shook him by the hand.

A fleet of around 50 luxurious cars parked beside him. Impeccably dressed gentlemen in elegant navy blue tuxedos stepped out confidently. They approached Caspian, making him wonder if he had done something wrong or if Diana had sent them to arrest him.

To his surprise, instead of approaching him, they respectfully stood behind the young lady.

"Y-yeah, I'm doing just fine. But my parents are dead, and... I never knew myself to be the Master." Caspian's jaws dropped in astonishment, his words shaking.
