Chapter [011]— SNAPDRAGON VILLA

Caspian observed as the helicopter's blades slowly came to a halt on the helipad situated on an artificial island known as Delta Island, approximately 7.5 miles away from Elmbridge city. As he disembarked, Emily closely followed.

"Master Steele," she began, wincing slightly, "Shall we head to your villa?"

Noticing a uniformed guard nearby, Caspian approached him, his voice brimming with authority. "Excuse me," he stated, "I'm Caspian Steele. I own a house here and would like to visit it."

"Welcome, Master. We've been expecting you," the guard responded. "Your villa is located along Cedarstone Avenue. You can find a car over there." The guard gestured to a parking area.

Caspian acknowledged the guard with a nod and wasted no time heading for the electric car. Emily joined him, and they swiftly set off.

Although it was a short drive, Caspian couldn't help but admire the lush gardens, the bright skies, fountains, and the captivating modern architectural design along the route.

Within minutes, they arrived at the Snapdragon Villa, a grand mansion owned by Caspian worth a staggering $15 million, making it the most expensive villa in the area. Caspian entered a PIN and provided a fingerprint scan, unlocking the door to the luxurious abode. The interior lived up to his expectations, radiating a modern and opulent ambiance.

From the tasteful chandeliers and ornate moldings to the plush and sumptuous furnishings, it exudes elegance. The villa's floors were adorned with high-quality marble finishes, adding a touch of regal allure. Rich, textured fabrics adorned the windows and upholstery. The dining room featured a long, polished table and chairs, perfect for hosting feasts. The kitchen resembled a chef's dream, equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and gleaming countertops. Each bedroom served as a private haven, with intricate designs, marble vanities, and en-suite bathrooms.

After surveying and savoring the coolness of the mansion's rooms, Caspian settled onto a couch to relax and watch TV.

"Emily, do we still have any schedule?" Caspian inquired.

"Don't think so, Master!" Emily replied.

"Now, I've noticed something. Ever since I've met my father, you've been working with me. What about your role as the hotel manager of Synergie Hotel? Don't you think that working as my personal assistant will affect the business, given your responsibilities as a manager?" Caspian pondered.

"Of course, my assistant seems to handle much of my work in my absence," Emily admitted, shaking her head.

Caspian exhaled, his lips forming a pout as he carefully chose his next words. "No, no, no. Things can't continue this way."

"Um, can I offer you a different position? Or perhaps you'd like to stay on as the hotel's manager?" Caspian suggested.

"But you haven't met my standards," Caspian paused before adding, "I was told you studied hospitality management, right?"

"Yes, sir," she replied instantly.

"Alright, the choice is yours now. Take some time to think about it and get back to me," Caspian proposed.

Caspian addressed Emily's inner conflict, remarking, "Your mind is in turmoil because you still desire to work for me," before he went to change his clothes.

Then, he returned to the living room, picked up his phone, and said, "Uh, I wanna go shopping. Lately, I've been eyeing some high-end accessories and clothing…"

About two hours later, Caspian left his villa and drove to a renowned luxury boutique located on the opposite side of the island in an opulent transport vehicle.

Dressed in his plain attire, Caspian entered the boutique, his gaze sweeping across racks of designer clothes and accessories.

"How can I assist you, sir?" Caspian's ears were graced by a cordial voice as a saleslady approached.

Looking up, Caspian noticed the saleslady. "I'm looking for something special, something truly luxurious. Show me your finest selection."

The saleslady hesitated, briefly doubtful of Caspian's capability to make a significant purchase, before gesturing toward a line of stunning suits.

He moved to the line, inspecting the suits, and nodded, clearly impressed. "I'll take it."

Caspian's decision caught the saleslady off guard. She stuttered, disbelief in her eyes as she looked at his clothing.

"Y-you're sure, sir? It's… extremely expensive."

Caspian chose to remain silent after reading the lady's thoughts. He ignored her and continued to browse through the more expensive items.

Caspian, in the midst of selecting the finest clothing and accessories, asked, "Do you provide custom tailoring services? I believe I'll need some unique attire."

A strange voice came from a tailor, replying, "Actually, we offer custom-made high fashion tailoring services. We just need your measurements and preference,"

Caspian, with a sense of certainty, declared as he pointed at a suit, "I want a quality custom-made tuxedo suit that looks like this, but in black."

"It'll cost $5,000 per unit," the tailor sighed deeply as he ushered Caspian into another section to take measurements and arrange the delivery date.

After making his selections, which included luxury watches embellished with precious metals, exquisite footwear, sunglasses, belts, and ties, he proceeded to the cashier to complete the payment. "How much are these?" he said.

As Caspian presented all his purchases at the checkout counter, he was caught off guard by the judgmental stares from the people around. They seemed skeptical about his ability to pay for these items given his inexpensive attire.

The cashier hesitated while summing up the total and then shook her head ruefully. "Mm-hmm," she muttered, clearly surprised when she finally announced, "The total is just $22,045.00."

In a matter of seconds, Caspian retrieved his diamond platinum card and handed it to the cashier.

After inserting the card into a payment machine, he entered his PIN, successfully withdrawing $25,000.

The surprised cashier whose jaws are parted, faltered as the machine whirred, confirming the payment, "Seen. Y-you still have $2,955 left."

"Ok, the balance?" Caspian said in a slurred tone.

While at the counter, the memory of his upcoming meeting with a team of biomedical engineers and cardiovascular surgeons at the hospital where Mia had been admitted, seeped into his brain. The technology involved was highly complex, so he intended to share the medical knowledge he had gained through his powerful necklaces with them. Their goal was to develop a durable and advanced Total Artificial Heart (TAH) to save Mia's life, which was the primary reason for meeting them.

He was well aware of Mia's critical condition, but his reluctance to help was due to her being Arthur's daughter.

In his haste, Caspian took a deep breath, sighed and said, "You can take the remaining balance for yourself. I don't need it, I already have enough money."

Eventually, Caspian left the boutique and headed for his villa. Upon his arrival, a sudden, chopper-like noise filled the air. His heart raced as he scanned the area, catching sight of Arthur stepping out of a helicopter beside his villa.
