Four soldiers guarding the gate watched their arrival with sharp eyes. Even when the two dismounted their horses, the scrutinizing and suspicious gazes from the soldiers became even more intense.

From head to toe, the two young men were thoroughly examined, fueling the soldiers’ suspicion.

Arya was slightly surprised by the soldiers' reaction to their arrival. Based on his quick analysis, something must have happened inside the Jayakerta duchy.

"What is your purpose for coming here?" one soldier asked suspiciously.

"We are visiting a relative, sir," Sanjaya quickly replied. Following Arya’s instructions, since he was more familiar with the people of the duchy, he was given the freedom to answer any questions from the soldiers.

"Who are you visiting?"

"Mister Kartosuro. His house is in the alley near the duchy’s palace." Sanjaya answered calmly and firmly.

One of the soldiers narrowed his eyes at Sanjaya’s face. He found it strangely familiar, but he couldn’t recall where or when he ha

While keeping his ears open for any visitors, Caraka answered the question directed at him, "I got the information after I accidentally overheard a conversation between two of Sidharta's special guards who happened to be eating at my place.""What information?" Arya asked again. He was extremely curious about the continuation of Caraka's story."So, the search for Sanjaya has resumed because a fortune teller told Master Sidharta that a young man would come and eliminate him and also Duke Sudaraksa." Caraka's voice was so low that only the two young men could barely hear it."That's why Sidharta hired two warriors to guard him," Caraka continued."So, Duke Sudaraksa knows about this prophecy?""He should know," Caraka replied briefly."Strange. If Duke Sudaraksa knows, then the soldiers must have..." Arya suddenly fell silent."What's wrong, Arya?" Sanjaya asked, confused."The soldiers know that you’re already in this duchy. Reso was irritated by the question asked by Prawiro. To him, such a foolish question should not have been directed at him. Especially considering Prawiro’s status as one of the elders of the Red Snake Sect, he should have been able to think more broadly and wisely."Do you want to die in vain without fighting back? It's clear that young man won’t let us go, and you’re still asking what we should do?" Reso retorted.Prawiro was offended by Reso’s words. He stood up, no longer willing to help his friend to his feet. He glared at Arya for a moment, steadying his breath.Reso was puzzled by Prawiro’s attitude. He had been patient with Prawiro’s sometimes childish behavior. Like now, for example. It was clear Prawiro was sulking due to the harshness of his words.Unexpectedly, Prawiro lunged to attack Arya. He didn’t expect the one known as the Serpent King Warrior to surrender so easily.Reso hadn’t exactly said the word “surrender,” but by offering to end the fight, it was essentially the same thing."About my men—I’ll order them to withdraw, Warrior," Reso added."What are you doing, Reso? The sound is coming from up there!" Her slender index finger pointed to a spot."If you train your senses often enough, you can hear even the slightest sound without needing deep focus. You can even sense someone's suppressed energy, though the limit is usually only if their inner strength is no more than one level above yours," Arya explained."Really? But didn’t you once say we can’t sense the energy of someone whose level is above ours?" Ratnasari asked."That was my old thinking. But during my disappearance, I learned many new things, some quite different from the usual beliefs of most warriors," Arya replied. His gaze returned to the spot Ratnasari had pointed out earlier."We’d better go check it out up there," he added."Hmm.

The question startled Arya, who was still frozen in shock at the sudden arrival of King Wijaya Kusuma. "Oh, uh... Please, Your Majesty.
