"Thank you."

Ethan closed the door to his hotel room, while taking the food he would serve right in front of Citra.

"Please. It wouldn't be quick enough if I ordered food from outside or bought it out there. So I asked for food from the hotel instead. Is that okay?" Ethan asked, looking at the woman.

Still in the same position, only her eyes moving to watch Ethan's movements, Citra seemed indifferent, just nodding casually.

"I'll take that as a sign that you accept this food from me," Ethan said then.

He then excused himself from Citra, he would go shower to freshen up.

Citra, just remembering the paper bag in her hand, immediately set it on the coffee table.

Her eyes seemed to glance around, observing every corner of the room.

"Where does all his money come from? Wasn't he just fired? But how can he have already booked a hotel room that's above an unemployed person's means like him?" Citra muttered suspiciously.
