Chapter 31

Citra returned to the hotel where Ethan had paid to extend her stay for some time in the future.

As usual, the woman's face returned to being flat and untouched, very different from when Ethan found her on the beach earlier.

Now, Ethan understood the reason behind that curt and untouched face. It was merely a shield that the woman thought would protect her from any disappointment that could possibly come to her at any time.

"Please, Miss. You can use the wardrobe over there, it's still empty," Ethan said as their room door opened.

Citra then looked towards Ethan, her brow furrowed when she saw there were two different beds there.

"Did you just ask for a single bed?" Citra asked, looking at him.

Ethan returned the woman's gaze, looking in the same direction as Citra.

A smile appeared at the corner of his mouth, and he nodded his head for a few moments.

"It's okay, Miss. You can sleep on the bed, I'll sleep on the floor. Let me help you arrange your other belongings, Miss," Ethan replie
