Chapter 96

A long sigh escaped Citra's mouth.

In her current state of uncertainty, she continued driving her car aimlessly, wherever it could go.

She didn't know where to go now. Her mind felt blank, all the feelings in her heart turning cold and untouchable again, just like before.

Citra tried to remember the last time she felt so happy, celebrating that happiness until it ultimately ended up destroying her.

The corner of her lips curved into a bitter smile.

Citra closed her eyes, taking a deep breath to try and control her unstable emotions.

"Argh! Why did everything have to turn out like this?! Why do you keep torturing me with all this pain?! Why does God always punish me?! What great sin have I committed for you to do all this to my life, God?!"

Her thoughts spiraling out of control, Citra began to question the fate God had created for her.

The happiness that people always said would come to those who remember God and are grateful for His trials was nowhere to be felt by Citra right now.
