Chapter 10( The strange girl)

Rob got to his apartment late around past 10pm,it has been a hectic day for him coupled with the incident that took place on Nedine. His apartment is sited at the Royale street, It was a street that houses the most wealthy and influential individuals of MacLean city. Rob pushed his apartment door haggardly after running his security biometrics. He went straight to the bed,he was very tired,dum!he landed on his big sized bed and dozed off.

Gri! gri! gr!i gri!,A telephone bell rang,a young man rushed to pick the telephone"Who is this,sir for you " the young man said and directed his gaze to a man reading a newspaper"Hello...........what! how bad.......,oh shit,go and find the culprit,he or she must be dealt with"Jamal Landstein thundered furiously while flexing his fist. He was conversing with his men in the other line. He was busy reading morning news paper in his mansion before the call.

He was told that his cousin Magi was seriously injured and will be our for some months. Magi was not just his favorite cousin,he was Magi guardian since the death of his father,his brother. So it was a personal matter coupled with the fact that he is a Landstein,no one dares lay a finger on any Landstein.

Jamal looks quite energetic and strong for some one at his late sixties this is credited to his constant body exercise and good foods,a habit he has maintained for long. He is quite a fullfilled man,his drug business grew exponentially in his watch. He was also a father of three,two boys and a girl;Hugo Mateo and Ana in that order.

Hugo was nothing like his father,a very good looking, kind and subtle man. To his father he was a disappointment and not fit to lead the family business. He and his father never actually agreed on anything hence since his admission into school of Art, Italy he had stayed away from home. All he have ever wanted was a normal life and to him being a Landstein won't give him that. His deviant attitude actually came with a price, plummeting affection from his father, limited resources available to him as compared to his siblings to name a few. Still he never regretted the path he chose to follow.

Mateo in other hand was his father's son,a 6 feet 6 inches fella,he was very tall. He is quite smart,very arrogant and ambitious. He always dreamed of succeeding after his father despite not being the first. He has always stayed near his father and prospered under his tutorship. He was very loved by Jamal,his father but still, deep inside Jamal hopes that Hugo will have a change of heart and be back to handle the family business since despite his short comings he was still his first son and should be his heir.

Ana is the beautiful and cheerful one,she is the stepsister of Hugo and Mateo who were from a different mother.bShe has traits that electrify and charm everyone. She was everyone favorite including her step brothers. She and Mateo were students of Lontor University.

Jamal paced up and down the building,he was visibly angry,he couldn't narrow down who will have the mind to go against his kind"is this an intended attack or otherwise?"he asked himself rhetorically. He swored to himself to use everything at his disposal to get to the root of the matter. He called his son Mateo and daughter Ana to lay low for some period of time until the situation is controlled. It would have been much easier for him to trace the culprit if Magi was conscious,he have would at least helped them understand what happened."Luke, prepare,we are going to see Magi"he ordered as he took the last sip of his coffee. Some one must bleed,he thought to himself.

Rob at the other end was busy going to his day to day activities but this time he was very conscious of his environment. As much as he never regretted his actions that night it would have been much better if the victim was not a Landstein. He understood the various cards that may play out but he was ready to dance to any tune that may emerge.

Rob despite being twenty one have never had any sexual relationship with any girl since Johanna back in valley high school. He believed that this was one of the many sacrifices he have to make. Although he knew it was never going to be easy,this was coupled by the fact that he is very handsome and smart . Many girls have tried to tie him down but to no avail, he was very determined.

Rob ice cold personality made it relatively easy for him to send the perturbing girls away,he was considered harsh and for some a gay.

Rob was done with class for the day,he immediately headed for the library but came to stop at the school Beach,as much he do pass there everytime it was his first time of stopping to view the Beach . He was for a while enjoying the breeze and the natural surroundings. He was pleased with the calmness and peace that the sea ushered him. He also enjoyed how the water splashed on each other."Hey Rob"a voice from behind,it was Johanna."How are u doing"Rob answered trying to hold her hand."what are you doing here?"she answered ignoring Rob question."What!"Rob unconsciously asked"yeah, you heard me"Johanna replied trying to make eye contact. He smiled"I do come here sometimes,is a quiet place you know"Rob responded trying to avoid eye contact with her."He wanted it impress her,he knew how this kind of place mattered to Johanna."Is this one of your lies because I do come here Everytime and I have not seen you here before"she leaned back trying to see Rob facial expression.

She could easily tell when Rob lies to her just by looking at his face. For the past years since they break up,both have tried to maintain a platonic relationship. Although Rob didn't regret his decision, it still hurt me though, especially when he see her with his current boyfriend Daniel.

"Johan"as Daniel fondly called out,there were meant to meet at the beach before proceeding to have they lunch.As he traces his way to Johan,he could tell from the figure beside her to be Rob. Johanna had already told him everything but despite he still have respect for Rob because of his dedication and principles."Oh babe"as Johanna opened her hand to hug him. He hugged her fondly and kissed his forehead. 'Yeah, showoff",Rob thought within himself as he stares at the love couples."Rob hi"Dan bringing out his hand to shake Rob, for a moment Rob wanted to snub but decided against the idea and returned the gesture to him.

"See you later Rob"she gestured as she waved Rob goodbye. Rob was busy staring at them enviously until they were out of sight. He immediately bumped on a young lady on turning"Oh my God!"Isabella exclaimed as she tried picking her already crashed phone and laptop."sorry sorry"he stuttered trying to help her."oh God my phone screen is broken"she lamented still bending. Immediately she stood up, time paused for Rob as she behold her ,he stared,what a beauty before him,he thought to himself."Mr,Mr is everything alright"Isabella trying to wake Rob from his daydream.
