The Terrific Crown Prince

Official Announcement

"Yeah, I'm fine, your highness. Sorry for the fuss I made.” Olivia took Luke's hand with an embarrassed face. Afterwards everyone sat down at their respective tables when the queen and crown prince agreed. They had a leisurely dinner discussing light matters.

After dinner, they continued light activities in the hall. Some people were dancing, some other people were chatting with the crown prince. But of course not everyone has access to it.

"Olivia, how did that useless guy become the crown prince?" Victor drew closer towards Olivia in the middle of the event. Victor is very careful when he mentions that men are not good for Luke. He made sure that Luke had not noticed his movements with Olivia.

"I don't know. If you're so shocked, how much less am I, Victor?” Olivia chuckled lightly as she rolled her eyes.

“But you are a noble Olivia. At least you still have some connection with the kingdom.”

Olivia rolled her eyes. "Even so, I still don't know. It seems they planned it well to make a surprise.”

"Does Agatha know about her husband's identity?" not everyone knows about Luke and Agatha's divorce. They haven't officially announced it yet. Naturally Olivia and Victor still think so.

"I don't know." Once again Olivia put on a very visible dick face. “But Agatha felt so confident at the door. He seems to have found out earlier than the rest of us.”

“Uhm, then what about our fate now? I'm sure he won't let us go after all the insults we've done to them so far. Even more so at my party last time.” Victor rubbed his face in frustration. “Oh shit! I should have been more thorough in finding out who that man was.”

“Ssst, watch what you say, Victor! I'm also worried about the same thing but there's no need to show it too much. The Palace sure has a lot of ears for Prince Luke.”

Victor smiled sinisterly. “I feel so unfair. I still can't believe that man is standing there with such a high title.”

“Everyone feels it too, Victor. I'm pretty sure it's not just us. We must find a way as carefully as possible to save ourselves. Maybe I can ask my father for help through the queen though I'm not sure it will be granted.”

Victor nodded his head. "I would love it if you saved me too, Olivia."

Meanwhile, Agatha approached Luke with her shameless face. "Good night, My Prince!" She said greeting Luke with the polite bow she had learned all day, though not quite perfect.

Luke who was talking to some of the city's conglomerates saw his wife. Luke nodded his head. "Oh, Agatha, I'm glad you and your family attended my invitation."

"How can I refuse it?" whispered Agatha with a flushed face. She couldn't wait to cheer that she would soon wear the crown as the next queen-to-be.

Luke chuckled lightly. "Since you're already here, it seems like it's time for us to make an announcement, do you agree?"

"Announcement?" Agatha's smile was wide.

"The thing you really wanted." Luke also smiled. There was not the slightest trace of anger from the man. Agatha thought Luke would curse at her like what Agatha usually did to Luke all this time. It turned out that Agatha was very well received. She was increasingly convinced that Luke loved him very much.

“I’m really glad, your Highness.”

Luke stretched out his hand which was accepted by Agatha without hesitation. Usually, Agatha would have brushed off Luke's hand. As long as they were married, they never held hands. Agatha really hated her husband. But today is very different. Agatha didn't have to think long, she even smiled happily holding hands with Luke.

Luke gave a sign that the music had to stop. He stands on a stage that has been specially prepared. Beside him Agatha stood. Samuel Philip and his wife smiled smugly. They could not wait to bear the status of Prince-in-law. Luka and Agatha's actions get all the attention from the guests. Even the queen notices but she takes part too. Luke had just returned, she didn't want her participation to make Luke run away from home again. Right now, she could only trust her son that Luke would not let him down again.

"I would like to make an announcement for everyone present at this party." Luke began speaking very charismatically. Agatha had never seen Luke like that before. She could even see that Luke was very handsome and perfect. "As you already know, Agatha and I got married four years ago but now we are not husband and wife anymore. we got divorced a week ago."

Agatha was shocked. Instantly the woman's face turned pale very quickly. “Your highness…” Agatha hissed in disbelief. Samuel Philip and his wife felt very embarrassed. Their chests that were originally high now just dropped.

“Our marriage has not been happy. Agatha really hated me all this time. She regretted her decision every day. I saw Agatha suffer so much. I've been acting selfish all along, but a week ago, I granted her wish. I gifted Agatha parting with me as my apology to her. I freed my ex-wife completely without royal status from me, so that she would not be involved in the royal rules. Darling, here are our divorce documents that I promised you."

Luke gives the divorce papers to Agatha's hands. Everyone in the city of Puissance knew the facts that Luke had said. They also knew Luke wasn't lying just to dump his wife. Agatha received the divorce documents with trembling hands. Luke is good at getting his revenge with good times. He didn't need to berate Agatha but his actions managed to deal a huge blow to Agatha. Luke managed to bring Agatha to her lowest point. She didn't even get any title even though she was once married to Luke.

After the announcement from Luke, the party resumed. The Queen breathed a sigh of relief. As a Queen, the woman wanted Luke to marry a nobleman and produce pure offspring like the Queen who gave birth to Luke. She could not imagine that the future king would be born from the womb of an ordinary woman.

"Prince, I am relieved that you are officially divorced from your wife."

Luke held his mother's hand. “I already told you that I am divorced from my wife. Now I make it official. You can smile, your majesty.”

"I've never met her but she's not a good wife for you. Oh! I can't imagine how you had a day like this. If only you would allow her and her family to be punished.”

Luke smiled a little. “At least I've been living with them for these four years. Let's just say everything is even, my queen. I paid my debt to them.”

Queen nodded her head. "You don't need to worry, I will find you a better wife."

Luke chuckled. “I just came back, how can you find me a wife right away? I want to focus on the kingdom first.”

Queen chuckled thinly. “I would be delighted if you were assisted by someone in your task. Look! many noble daughters are present at night today. You can mention it to me, Luke."

Luke chuckled. He immediately left the presence of his mother before the Queen forced him to find a wife. Luke has plans of his own that he can't tell his mother. At least for now.

“Oh, Agatha, I was so worried about you. I thought your presence tonight at the palace was You will be appointed crown princess, I did not expect you both make a divorce announcement. The crown prince was right, you've been in so much pain all this time. I know you cursed your husband all this time. Congratulations, you're finally free from the Prince."

Olivia sneered at Agatha. The woman even laughed loudly near Agatha which was a sign of how satisfied she felt. During dinner last night, Olivia was very worried about Agatha's haughty attitude. Now, all of them have been avenged. She was very happy that Agatha could not become a noble and soon she would be poor.

"Agatha, I advise you to apologize to the prince immediately or you will be punished by him." Olivia patted Agatha's shoulder showing a very fake concerned face. Agatha clenched her fists. She promised that she would make Olivia suffer someday.

“Princes can't go back on their word, I know that. We both know each other's faults. I'll take your advice, Olivia. Thanks for giving me advice.” Agatha was still fighting back with the last bit of pride she had.
