Marianne doesn't understand why Laura doesn't want to tell Antonio about Reginaldo being a male escort, in her words.

"Daughter, you're lying to your mother, so you don't want your father to know?" Marianne folds her arms, "We'd better face Reggie with the truth. He's already a failure, there's no need to lie."

Laura takes a deep breath, "Mom, what I told you about Reggie wearing new clothes is true. But telling Dad about this is the same as keeping quiet. Dad won't believe a word I say because of what I've done on that careless girl's birthday."

"Miss Aline Mendonça, dear." Marianne complete with debauchery.

The two ladies walk among the activity of porters, guests, and hotel maids. They go to Marianne's office. Unlike her husband's office, Marianne's contains feminine touches, such as flowers in vases and strawberry-colored walls.

"If you want, daughter, I'll tell your father that your husband is actually a male prostitute."
