Chapter 286 A Perfect Arrangement

Reginaldo enters the loft and finds Carla and Aline talking. He notices that Aline's eyes are red.

"OK, what happened now?" he asks kindly as he closes the door.

"Hello, Reggie!" Aline stands up, "Why are you asking this?"

"It's because I'm seeing your red eyes. You were crying and Carla was comforting you."

Aline takes a deep breath, "It's the problems in my life."

Reginaldo hugs her. Carla realizes firsthand how right Aline was in saying that Reginaldo treats her as his wife, not her lover.

"Your troubles are over, Aline." Reginaldo breaks the hug and smiles kindly, "Today, I asked for a divorce. In fact, I categorically declared that Laura and I are going to divorce."

Aline smiles pleasantly.

"Why did you state it firmly?" Carla asks.

"In case she refuses," Reginaldo says.

"She has nothing to refuse." Aline snorts, "I'll never forget the day she told my father's servants that I was in Eduardo's loft. She handed out my head because she was still jealous, she still loved that writer.
