"Your husband?" Clara exclaimed.

"Yes," Amanda said, holding Lawton's hand.

"He is my husband," she continued.

"You have to apologise to him," Amanda added.

"Apologize?" Clara said.

"I didn't know he was your husband," she added, rolling her eyes.

Amanda was fine with Clara constantly being rude to her but she couldn't take her being rude to Lawton.

Lawton saw the look on Amanda's face and couldn't tell she was angry.

"It's okay baby," he whispered in her ears.

"Just leave her," he added.

"No baby," Amanda said quietly, looking at him.

"I won't take this from her," she continued.

"I will report you to the boss right this minute if you do not apologise," Amanda continued.

Clara was stunned as she looked at Amanda, she had never seen her that angry.

"I'm sorry," Clara said nonchalantly, facing Lawton.

She knew Barry liked Amanda and would listen to whatever she told him.

She couldn't risk losing her job.
